Week 771 – December 7th, 2025

Paula Engels eventually did this one last step to reach #1 with “Mittelfinger an die Welt” (#1, “Middle finger to the world”). It is her 1st #1 on my chart. Down one spot is “Unsterblich sein” (#2, “Be immortal”) by Kraftklub feat. Domiziana which has topped the chart for four weeks in a row. Still in the hunt for #1 is “The fate of Ophelia” (#3) by Taylor Swift. It’s the only non-moving song in the Top 10. Directly behind are “Eyes closed” (#4) by Jisoo & Zayn and “I’m not there for you” (#5) by Jessie Murph. Last week both songs climbed up three spots and this week they are doing it again with a two spot climb.

Former #1’s “Blowing smoke” (#6) by Gracie Abrams and “Man I need” (#7) by Olivia Dean’s are doing it the other way. These songs are down two spots. They are followed by three new songs in this part of the chart. First to mention is Austrian singer Esther Graf with her single “Kippenlänge” (#8, “Cigarette's length”). Next in line is the Top 10 debut by Elle Coves. Her song “Calling it love” (#9) also climbed up four spots. So did “Every girl you’ve ever loved” (#10) by Miley Cyrus feat. Naomi Campbell too.

The award for the greatest gainer goes to “Wieso” (#28, “Why”) by Esther Graf after climbing up 20 spots. The highest debut landed outside the Top 50. It is “Loser” (#53) by Sophie and the Giants. I like this song, but I’m not sure if it will enter the top spots of the chart. Other debuts are “You got another thing coming” (#79) by Teddy Swims, “In another world” (#80) by EJAE, “Ich bin” (#81, “I am”) by LEA, “Von der Schönheit und der Zerbrechlichkeit der Dinge” (#82, “Of the beauty and fragility of things”) also by LEA, “Billet” (#92) by Maë, “Für immer” (#95, “For always”) by “Pass auf wen du liebst” (#96, “Be careful who you love”) by Hava & Erda and “Hassliebe 2” (#97, “Hate love 2”) by ALYZAH & Curse.
