90		no success	Kelly Clarkson – Move you Points: 770.5 Peak: #14 Weeks: 14 (still charting) Album: Meaning of life For the first time this year Kelly Clarkson appears in this Top 100 review. “Move you” has been the 2nd part of the double a side single “Love so soft”. I like this song a lot, but somehow it failed to get the last push into my Top 10.
89		no success	Ruth B. – Superficial love Points: 778.0 Peak: #21 Weeks: 17 Album: Safe haven “Superficial love” has been first released back in 2015 as a regular single along with the release of the debut EP “The Intro”. Two years later and after the success of “Lost boy” (I’ve never charted this song) she re-released “Superficial love” in February 2017. Two months later “Superficial love” got its debut. It just missed my Top 20, but the strong run brought this song into my year-end Top 90.
88		no success	MisterWives – Oh love Points: 784.1 Peak: #16 Weeks: 15 Album: Connect the dots We aren’t really far in this countdown, but here you can find the third song by MisterWives in my Top 100. It is another gem from their album “Connect the dots” which failed to reach my Top 10. It doesn’t mean that I don’t like this song, but there had been stronger songs out when I charted this song.
87		#74	LEA – Leiser Points: 793.4 Peak: #12 Weeks: 14 (still charting) Album: - Early this year German singer LEA released her debut solo single “Wunderkerzenmenschen” which eventually peaked at #26. Later that year she released “Leiser” (“Quieter”). This song is a wonderful song about a bad relationship.
86		#9 #13 #6 #34 #4 #12 #1 #1 #2 #1	/ Clean Bandit feat. Zara Larsson – Symphony Points: 804.6 Peak: #16 Weeks: 17 Album: - Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson rocked this song. While Zara Larsson had a #1 in her pocket Clean Bandit still waiting for a Top 10 hit. “Symphony” did very well, but failed to push Clean Bandit into the next level. Unfortunately the next two singles failed to impress me.
85		#13 #6 #16 #7 #9 #3 #9 #8 #7 #8	Zedd & Alessia Cara – Stay Points: 804.9 Peak: #14 Weeks: 14 Album: - Somehow a trend in 2017 is that there are several songs released without an album release followed. “Stay” by German DJ Zedd and Canadian singer Alessia Cara isn’t an exception. After several solo hits I personally didn’t expect that Alessia Cara will be featured at an EDM track. It worked very well with a peak at #14.
84		no success	Michelle Branch – Best you ever Points: 807.8 Peak: #15 Weeks: 16 Album: Hopeless romantic 14 years after Michelle Branch released her 3rd album “Hotel paper” she finally released the follow up. I didn’t really expect that she will ever release an album after she postponed the release date very often. “Best you ever” is the best example that she hasn’t lost her musical instinct. Unfortunately her new album was overseen and so her new work doesn’t get the attention it would have gained in earlier days.
83		no success	Alex Christensen & The Berlin Orchester feat. Ivy Quainoo – Rhythm is a dancer Points: 813.9 Peak: #13 Weeks: 14 (still charting) Album: Classical 90s Dance German producer Alex Christensen had several hits in the past. Some are good others are shit. This year he worked on an orchestral interpretation of the hits of the 1990’s. The first single out of this new album has been “Rhythm is a dancer”. This song is among my all time favourites and so I was really excited to see this release. I really like this interpretation and I think that Ivy Quainoo did a good job.
82		no success	Dean Lewis – Need you now Points: 814.1 Peak: #10 Weeks: 15 Album: Some kind of different Thomas Rhett had been the first male singer within my Top 100 with “Craving you” and his duet partner Maren Morris. Now at #82 you can find the first solo male singer in the Top 100. “Need you now” had been the 2nd single of his album “Some kind of different” and the only single from this album which never reached the ARIA charts, expect the Australian Artist Chart where this song peaked at #10.
81		no success	Kelly Clarkson – Second wind Points: 817.1 Peak: #11 Weeks: 16 Album: Piece by piece Last but not least song behind the Top 80 is another one by core artist Kelly Clarkson. And no it isn’t a song from her new album. This one is a remnant from her album “Piece by Piece”. “Second wind” knocked at the door to my Top 10, but just missed it with a peak at #11.
