Week 354 – December 9th, 2017

”Pfeile” (#1) by Tagtraeumer defended its title in front of the strong new song by Pink. Her song “Beautiful trauma” (#2) is stuck at the runner’s up position, but this song is on the shortlist to take over by next week or some other week. Still at the podium is former #1 “21st century heartbeat” by British singer-songwriter Luke Sital-Singh. I absolutely fell in love with his music and the outlook is great, because his actual album is ready for several chart runs in the upcoming weeks. Up four spots is Selena Gomez. Her latest singles “Fetish” (#38), “Wolves” (#73) or “Bad liar” failed to impress me that much to give them a push into my Top 20 at least. On the other hand “Perfect” (#4) from her album “Revival” is now in my Top 5 with a good outlook for the next few weeks. “Perfect” is followed by “Catch me on fire” (#5). Kate Voegele’s latest #1 hit is on its way down the chart, but it is still my Top 5 and I still enjoy listening.

The 2nd half of my Top 10 is opened with an acoustic version of the Martin Garrix and Troye Sivan song “There for you” (#6). For Belgian singer OT this cover is her first chart appearance and I really hope that some of her original songs will find their way to my chart in the future. Next in line are two songs which dropped some spots. First to mention is Kate Voegele’s “Sun will rise” (#7) which dropped two spots. Also dropping down two spots is Taylor Swift’s “…Ready for it?” (#8). 20 weeks ago “So tied up” (#9) by Cold War Kids feat. Bishop Briggs got its chart debut. This week this song hold its spot, but it could be the last week in my Top 10. This song is followed by the only Top 10 debut this week which is by MisterWives. Their latest single “Never give up to me” (#10) climbed up four spots.

The greatest gainer of the week is by Chad Brownlee. His country song “Out of the blue” (#40) is growing more and more on me so that this week this song climbed up 29 spots directly into my Top 40. Looking over my new entries you’ll find out that no song reach my Top 70. The highest debuts are by MisterWives with two album cuts. These are “Chasing this” (#71) and “Only human” (#72). Then there are several songs from the 4th season of Nashville which I finally started to see this week.
