May is ending and there is still the same song at the top. “Temporary” (#1) by Alexa Cappelli is topping the chart of now four consecutive weeks. Also holding its spot is “River” (#2) by Miley Cyrus. New in the Top 3 is “Velvet heartbreak” (#3) by Carrie Underwood. For her it is the first time in Top 3 since “Church bells” (reached #1 in June 2016). Seven years is a long time, but “Velvet heartbreak” has the chance to become her 3rd #1 on my chart. Dropping out of the Top 3 is “Flowers” (#4) by Miley Cyrus which is definitely the hit of 2023 so far. New in this part is “Burn” (#5). This is another song by Carrie Underwood.

“Engel” (#6) by 1986zig dropped out of the Top 5 and should leave the Top 10 very soon. Also on its way out is “Ugly” (#7) by Dylan Conrique, but another single by her is on her way into the chart. Still in the Top 10 “Nie wieder sehen” (#8, “Never see again”) by JuJu can be found. This song climbed up one spot and swapped the spot with “Underwater” (#9) by Kwon Eun Bi. Rounding out this week’s Top 10 is the only new song in the Top 10. It is “Renn zurück” (#10, “Run back”) by Austrian singer Esther Graf and German rapper Fourty.

Directly behind the Top 10 landed the greatest gainer of the week. It is “Only problem” (#11) by Pale Waves. Climbing up 22 spots is a highlight of this week’s chart. The last two weeks saw a massive number of debuts. This week things cooled down a little bit with only seven debuts and a all of them debuting outside the Top 70. The highest one is the album cut “Through your eyes” (#73) from Morgan Wades debut album “Reckless”. The 2nd best debut is also by her and so the cover version “Suspicious minds” landed at #77. Other debuts are “Straßenlaternenlicht” (#84, “Street lamp lights”) by Helena FIN, “All comes back to you” (#85) by Ali Gatie, "Runaway” (#87) by Bree Carter, “Been thinking” (#88) by Tyla and “Ashley” (#92) by Zolita.
