Week 697 – July 6th, 2024

This week I hadn’t a lot of time to discover new music so I decided to debut only two album cuts from an album I bought. This also means that there isn’t a lot of action in this week’s edition. First to mention is that “Jugendpoesie” (#1, “Youth poetry”) by Tagtraeumer & Tina Naderer got its 3rd week at the top. “Jugendpoesie” is followed by TAELA’s “Narcissists” (#2) which should take over next week. Also holding their spots are two former #1’s. The higher ranked one is “CLICK BOOM!” (#3) by Rose Villain. The other one is “Sinceramente” (#4, “Sincerely” (#4) by Annalisa. Next in line is a little surprise. Let’s welcome back “Killer” (#5) by FKW twigs. This song isn’t giving up an returns for another week in the Top 5 which is unexpected.

Directly behind “Killer” you can find “Ein Lied” (#5, “A song”) by Austrian Esther Graf. I really love this one, but here I’m not sure if it will ever reach #1. “Ein Lied” climbed up 9 spots to earn the spot in the Top 10. Up one spot is “Remember that” (#7) by LANY. “Wunder” (#8, “Wonder”) by AYLIVA x Apache 207 dropped three spots and should leave the Top 10 by next week. Lena can be found directly behind after climbing up two spots with her recent single “Good again” (#9). Rounding out this week’s Top 10 is “You love who you love” (#10) by Zara Larsson.

TAELA’s single “I can’t” is awarded with the greatest gainer of the week after climbing up 15 spots in its 5th charting week. So let’s welcome the two debuts. They are from Freya Ridings’ album “Blood orange”. The higher ranked debut is “I feel love” which is in at #72. The other one is “Perfect” which debuts at #80.
