Clueso’s “Für immer jetzt“ (#1, “Forever now“) has now spent three weeks at the top of the chart. This is pretty common in these days as “Wolke8” (#2, “Cloud8”) by Becks also topped the chart for three weeks. Still in the Top 3 is “Background check” (#3) by Esther Graf while her other hit “Ein Lied” (#4, “A song”) is also holding its spot as the other mention songs. Up four spots into the Top 5 is “Time to love, time to kill” (#5) by Morgan Wade. It’s not her only hit in the Top 10 because two more songs by her entered this part in this week’s edition.

Climbing back up the chart are Tagtraeumer and Tina Naderer with their former #1 hit “Jugendpoesie” (#6, “Youth poetry”). Next in line is the fourth highest ranked song from Austria. It is former #1 “It’s a problem” (#7) by AVEC. Songs from my home country have definitely a run. So let’s see which song reached the Top 10 for the first time. The highest ranked new one is “Domino” (#8) by Morgan Wade. Directly behind there is another song by her. “Losers look like me” (#9) climbed up seven spots to reach this part of the chart. Then there is Mimi Webb. Her song “Erase me” (#10) is rounding out this week’s Top 10 after climbing up seven spots.

Last week Pink was awarded with the greatest gainer of the week for “Hate me” (#34). This week this song climbed up 16 spots to finish in the Top 40. “Hate me” is awarded once again, but this week there is another song which also climbed up 16 spots. It is “Roman candle” (#39) by Morgan Wade. A week ago, there had been several debuts within the Top 50. This week the highest debut failed to enter this part by just one spot. This week’s highest debut is by German act Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys. I first heard of them on the youtube chanel “Das schaffst du nie!” (“You’ll never manage that!”) when their moderator Ariane Alter left this format. I’m not watching this show on a regular basis, but during her retirement this band had a gig where the performed this song. I checked them out and so they entered this year with “Sophia Loren”. Now they are in with the song the played on this show which I personally believe is better. Their song “Weiße Rosen” (“White roses”) is in at #51. I’m not a big fan of the kind of music they are making (German Schlager or in their case German Italo Schlager). Nevertheless I really like “Weiße Rosen” which should do well.

The 2nd best debut is a new single by US singer Sabrina Carpenter. This year is surely her year. Since 2014 she is releasing singles and with “Short n’sweet” she has now released her 4th full length album. On my chart she is charting ever now and then. Her first hit had been “Smoke and fire” (peaked at #80 in 2016). Her first Top 20 hit had been “Almost love” (peaked at #20) back in 2018. Three years later she had her first notable hit outside my chart with “Skin” which reached #11 in 2021 on my chart. Three years later she started a run in UK charts with three straight #1’s. “Espresso” (peaked at #19) lifted her on another level and the follow up “Please please please” is her 1st # in the US, but on my chart this song failed to enter. Now she is entering with “Taste” (#52) which is now her 3rd #1 in the UK. Directly behind these two new songs there is a 3rd one. It is “Just because I called you” (#53) by South African singer Will Linley which is his 2nd overall charting hit. This song follows last years minor hit “Tough (the girls song)”.

Other debuts are “Femme fatale” (#64) by Emma, “Maybe one day” (#80) by Mina Okabe, “Right person, wrong time” (#82) by Henry Moodie, “Quit you” (#86) by Karley Scott Collins, “Algorithm” (#89) by Chung Ha, “Eine Frau” (#90) by Becks, “Lord knows” (#94) by Lanie Gardner, “Thank god” (#96) by Kenzie Cait and “Like that” (#95) by Andrea Tanzil.
