Week 786 – March 21st, 2026

Holly Humberstone did it and defended the crown with her song “To love somebody” (#1). It had been a hard fight but, in the end, “Dance alone” (#2) by Zior Park only climbed up one spot. Up three spots is “Elizabeth Taylor” (#3) by Taylor Swift. This song is now her 3rd Top 3 hit from “The life of a showgirl”. For me this is an improvement as I haven’t bought her previous albums which are in my opinion not really good although having produced some hits for me too. Her former #1 “Opalite” (#4) is down two. Anaïs is on the train down too. Her song “Fremdknutschen” (#5, “Snog someone else”) dropped one spot.

Interesting to see is that another song from the “Soundtrack: Can this love be translated?” is on the rise too. It is “Daydream” (#6) by Wendy’s. I haven’t expected that is song will do so well for me, but here it is. Next in line is the only non-moving song in this part. It is Robbie Williams with “All my life” (#7). This song is followed by “I knew it, I know you” (#8). I believe Gracie Abrams is getting one more week in the Top 10 before this song drops out. The next two songs in this part swapped spots. Up one is “Choosin’ Texas” (#9) by Ella Langley while former #1 “Ich bin” (#9, “I am”) by LEA should be in its last week in this part.

The award for the greatest gainer of the week goes to “ASAP” (#39) by HEYOON feat. Chris Patrick. Their song climbed up 21 spots and landed in the Top 40. This week the highest debut is a song from Japan. The song “ごめんね” (#45. “I’m sorry”) had been released in January 2024 while the official music video was released in April 2025. Nearly a year after that it entered my chart. Normally I’m not into Japanese music, but I like this song and I’m glad that I discovered it. It should have a solid run on my chart.
