Week 751– July 19th, 2025

Luna Antoina only stayed for two weeks at the top with her catchy “Kurt Cobain” (#2). This week the song was replaced by Anouk’s song “Set this thing on fire” (#1) which is now her 2nd #1 this year. Holding its spot in the Top 3 is “Unsicher” (#3, “Insecure”) by Nina Chuba. 15 weeks in the Top 3 is definitely a statement. I’m looking forward for her 2nd album “Ich lieb’ mich, ich lieb mich nicht“ (I love myself, I don’t love myself”) which should be released in September. Directly behind are two more non-moving songs which are “Wenn das Liebe ist” (#4, “If this is love”) by Nina Chuba and “Wenn’s am schönsten ist” (#5, “When it’s at its best”) by Esther Graf.

Not far behind the Top 5 is “Wilde Nächte” (#6) by Sarah Connor which climbed up one spots and swapped spots with former #1 “Where the mind goes” (#7) by Anouk. Morgan Wade’s “East coast” (#8) also climbed up one spot as well as FLØRE with her song “Die a million times” (#9). Dropping two spots is German rap by Zsá Zsá with “Bad bunnies” (#10).

Last week saw two debuts which just missed debuting in the Top 40. Both songs climbed up 30 spots and landed nearly in the Top 10. The higher ranked one is Leslio Clio’s new single “Love has got me dancing” (#11). The other one is “Was ich fühl” (#12, “What I feel”). Needless to say, that these songs are awarded with the greatest gainer and that they will be candidates for a Top 10 spot in the next week. And there is one more song which has a big chance to enter this part. It is this week’s highest debut “Ey nah” (#23) by Austrian singer PAENDA. She represented Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2019 and had only minor success on my chart. All of her charting songs failed to enter the Top 90, or she missed my chart completely. “Ey nah” is a typical electronic pop songs in the 2020’s with a little bit of a country twist.
