Week 130 – August 24th, 2013

Finally she got it. Alanis Morissette scored her 3rd #1 with “Spiral” from her “Havoc and bright lights” album. This is so far her 12th week at the top of my chart. No other artist has spent more weeks on the top as Alanis. The reign by Rising Girl feat. DJ Lil Dirty with “I know you’ll wait for me” (#2) ended after a three weeks strike at the top. If Alanis Morissette spends more than one week on the top depends on Selena Gomez. “Slow down” (#3) continuous with a very strong performance which could bring Selena Gomez her first #1 hit on my chart. Last week’s top debut “Rock N Roll” (#5) entered this week’s Top 5. After two weeks with Top 10 debuts this week’s highest debut can only be found down the chart. This means that there is only one new song within my Top 10 and it is no debut. The new song is the worldwide smash hit “Wake me up!” (#7) by Avicii feat. Aloe Blacc. They replaced former #1 “It’s only love” (#11) by Matt Cardle.

Ready for next week’s Top 10 is Ricky Martin. His dance song “Come with me” (#12) climbed up six spots for a new peak. Some other songs have outside chances to enter this section. These are “The truth about love” (#17) by Pink and “Going insane” by Mic Donet. Doing well is Moya in her second charting week with “A little more love” (#69). This song climbed up 22 spots and is this week’s greatest gainer. This brings me to highest debut of the week. And no it is neither Katy Perry nor Lady Gaga who entered this week the charts worldwide with their new singles with a clear advantage for Katy Perry.

The highest debut comes from a Swedish band called NONONO. The band’s name is no program. Their debut single “Pumpin blood” (#53) is very catchy and the lyrics are also very good. Directly behind this song there is the second highest debut. It’s “Applause” (#54) by Lady Gaga. So she won over Katy Perry on my chart, because “Roar” (#76) only debuted in the last quarter of my chart. Between these two songs two more new songs debut this week. The higher one is “Everything has changed” (#56) by Taylor Swift feat. Ed Sheeran. For Ed Sheeran it is his first charting hit since “Give me love” earlier this year. The other one is “Can’t help” (#75) by Parachute.

Other debuts are “Treacherous” (#78) by Taylor Swift, “I love you” (#87 a English cover of last year’s smash hit by 2ne1) by Yabisi, “A little bit of love” (#91) by Emilie Gassin, “La La …” (#93) by Mia Martina, “Electric” (#97) by Blush, “Show me the way” (#99) by Billy Talent and “Like nobody’s around” (#100) by Big Time Rush.
