Week 381 – June 16th, 2018

Since weeks Kylie Minogue is dominating my chart. First she reached #1 with “Dancing” (#19) which stayed at the top for four weeks. And now she is the defending champion for the sixth week in a row with “Stop me from falling” (#1). Is there a song out there which is stopping this song from being my #1? It’s hard to predict if there are new songs which are able to reach #1, but there is one song which is absolutely in the position to take over in the future. Still at #2 are German rap band Die Fantastischen Vier with German singer Clueso and their hit song “Zusammen” (“Together”). Up one spot is “Your side of the bed” (#3) by Loote. New at #4 is Kate Voegele with “Not the only one”. This is the song I’m talking about above. Only a few weeks to go and then I see her live. It would be absolutely fantastic if “Not the only one” will be my #1 by then. Also new in my Top 5 is “Sottovoce” (#5, “Whisper”) by Emma.

Also on a good way is “Alle Farben” (#6, “All colours”) by Tagtraeumer after this song climbed up two spots. Falling down four spots is “Desire” (#7) by Matt Cardle. His new album is out since several weeks and so you can expect more songs by him on my chart in the near future. Three spots down is “Clearly” (#8) by Grace VanderWaal. This song is followed by the only new song in this part of my chart. For Matt Simons “We can do better” (#9) is his first Top 10 hit with his first charting song. This week’s Top 10 is rounded out wit another song by Austrian Tagtraeumer. “Liebe = X” (#10, “Love = X”).

This week’s greatest gainer of the week award goes to two different songs. The first one is latin pop by Liam Payne & J Balvin with their hit “Familiar” (#44). The other one is EDM by Aslove feat. Norma Jean Martine. This brings me to another week with only a handful debuts. The highest debuts are album cuts by Taylor Swift. She is debuting “I did something bad” (#62) and “Don’t blame me” (#63). The highest debut for a regular single is “Don’t say you love me” (#80) by Fifth Harmony. The last time I charted them had been with “Sledgehammer”. Other debuts are “Golden” (#81) by Kylie Minogue, “Seeing blind”(#82) by Niall Horan feat. Maren Morris and “Summer fever” (#83) by Little Big Town.
