Week 437 – July 13th, 2019

German singer Jeanette Biedermann is still riding on the wave of success. Her song “Deine Geschichten” (#1) is now scoring its 4th week at the top. Avril Lavigne on the other side is trying everything to get to the top again, but “I fell in love with the devil” (#2) is stuck at the runner’s up spot. Up two spots and for the first time at the podium is “If I can’t have you” (#3) by Shawn Mendes. Could this be his 2nd #1 following “There’s nothing holdin’ me back” which topped the chart back in 2017? I’m not sure, but there is a little chance. Holding its spot is “It’s a new day” (#4) by Anouk. Former #1 “Undrunk” (#5) swapped the spot with “If I can’t have you” and so Fletcher had to accept a two spot drop.

One spot behind the Top 5 is German rap by Juju feat. Henning May. Their song “Vermissen” (#6, “Miss”) climbed up one spot. Climbing up three spots is “Too much” (#7) by Carly Rae Jepsen. This is definitely interesting, because in Austria she had only three charting hits and the last time she was near the Top 10 had been back in 2015 with “I really like you”. “Too much” can’t be expected to enter the charts in Austria, but here it could reach the Top 5. Katy Perry is celebrating a comeback within the Top 10. This week she returned with “Never really over” (#8). Before that she had only been in the Top 10 with “Part of me” (peaked at #10 back in 2012) and “Unconditionally” (peaked at #4 back in January 2014). For the 2nd time in their career German band Fettes Brot reached the Top 10. This time it is “Denxu” (#9, “Do ya think”). Down four spots is country pop “Blue suede couch” (#10) by Lacy Cavalier.

Mark Ronson’s new single “Find U again” (#41) with Camila Cabello climbed up 13 spots and is this week’s greatest gainer. Looking for this week’s debuts you’ve to dig deep. The highest debut is “Taking me back” (#75) by LANY which is followed by another LANY with “Let me know” (#76). Other debuts are “Dance with you” (#91) by iamsimon feat. Next to Neon, “Wicked game” (#92) by Grace Carter, “Vienna” (#93) by Declan J Donovan, “Heart won’t break” (#94) by Delta Rae and “All we have” (#96) by Rachel Reinert.
