Week 436 – July 5^th , 2019

Things calmed down a little bit this week. German singer Jeanette Biedermann is now at the top for a 3rd week in a row with „Deine Geschichten“ (#1, „Your stories“). She is followed by Avril Lavigne and her former #1 “I fell in love with the devil” (#2). Also holding its spot is former #1 “Undrunk” (#3) by Fletcher. Behind the podium you can find for the first time “It’s a new day” (#4) by Anouk. This one is the first out of two new songs in the Top 5. The other one is “If I can’t have you” (#5) by Shawn Mendes. Both songs climbed up four spots to reach this new peak.

While these two songs climbed up country pop song “Blue suede couch” (#6) by Lacy Cavalier dropped two spots. Next in line is “Vermissen” (#7, “Miss”) by Juju feat. Henning May which climbed up one spot. Then we have the two former #1’s by LANY. Still leading this double pack is “If you see her” (#8) which is followed by “Thick and thin” (#9). For both song this could be the last week in the Top 10. This part of the chart is rounded out with “Too much” (#10) by Carly Rae Jepsen.

Last week Taylor Swift was awarded with the greatest gainer for two songs. This week she also got this award, but this week only for “Call it what you want” (#27). As I wrote above things have calmed down. So there are only six debuts. The highest one is the non-album single “Ne m’appelle pas” (#60, “Don’t call me”) by Canadian singer Cœur de Pirate. She had some hit singles in the past and this one could do very well. Other debuts are “Say you don’t” (#82), “Rising up” (#83) and “High wire” (#84) all by Matt Gresham, “Traveler” (#95) by Shaun and “Prost Hawaii” (#97, “Cheers Hawaii”) by Steiner & Madlaina.
