Week 486 – June 20th, 2020

It has been another interesting music week for me. Anouk is still at the top with “I love you” (#1). It is her 4th week at the top and therefore she is in the hunt to reach some of her other #1’s hits. Still at the runner’s up spot is “Dance again” (#2) by Selena Gomez. Up two spots and new at the podium is “Diagnosis” (#3) by Alanis Morissette. This means nothing more than this is her 3rd Top 3 hit from her upcoming new album. Directly behind you can find “Luci blu” (#4, “Blue lights”) by Emma who has now two songs in the Top 10. While Emma has two songs in the Top 10 Alanis Morissette has two in the Top 5. Her other Top 5 smash is former #1 “Smiling” (#5).

Down two spots is “Freunde” (#6, “Friends”) by Elif. This song is on its way out of the Top 10, but her latest charting single “Ein letztes Mal” (#17, “One last time”) eventually reached the Top 20 this week. Superstar Kelly Clarkson is doing very well with her latest single. “I dare you” (#7) climbed up three spots and maybe this single will reach the Top 5 by next week. Up one spot is “Warrior” (#8) by Avril Lavigne. Swedish singer Isak Danielson is falling with his song “I don’t need your love” (#9). Hopefully this song will stay one more week within the Top 10 but I’ve my doubts. New in the Top 10 is “Quando l'amore finisce” (#10, “When love ends”) by Emma.

Once again Kygo & OneRepublic are awarded with the greatest gainer of the week with their song “Lose somebody” (#44). Two week ago this song debuted at #91 and now this can be found within the Top 50 and there is still no end in climbing up the chart. The highest debut is by a Canadian artist and it is neither Alanis Morissette nor Carly Rae Jepsen. This debut is by Olivia Lunny. I’ve not heard of her before but her single “Think of me” (#60) did well in its 1st week on chart. Directly behind another Canadian singer is debuting. It is Carly Rae Jepsen with “This love isn’t crazy” (#61).
