Week 487 – June 27th, 2020

Let’s start with a closer look at the Top 10. Over the last weeks my favourite artist Anouk topped the chart with her current single. And now “I love you” (#1) is topping the chart for a fifth week in a row. I’m not sure how long this song will top the chart, but I’m sure that “I love you” will one of my most played songs over this summer. Directly behind “I love you” is “Diagnosis” (#2) by Alanis Morissette. So far this single is the only one which didn’t top the chart, but things could go out well. New at the podium is “Luci blu” (#3, “Blue lights”) by Italian singer Emma.With this week’s edition she has now three songs within the Top 10. This is the first time since March 2018 when Kate Voegele had three Top 10 hits at once. Down two spots is Selena Gomez with “Dance again” (#4). New in this part of the chart is “I dare you” (#5) by Kelly Clarkson.

Directly behind the Top 5 is the 2nd highest ranked song by Emma. Her album cut “Quando l'amore finisce” (#6) climbed up two spots. Caught between this song by Emma and her new song in the Top 10 is “Smiling” (#7) by Alanis Morissette. The mention Emma song is “Alibi” (#8) which climbed up six spots to land within the Top 10. Also new in the Top 10 is the latest single by German star Mark Forster. His 80’s pop orientated single “Übermorgen” (#9, “The day after tomorrow”) climbed up seven spots. And last but not least “Freunde” (#10, “Friends”) by Elif can be found in the Top 10.

For a third week “Lose somebody” (#30) by Kygo & One Republic is the greatest gainer of the week. This week “Lose somebody” only climbed up 14 spots. This brings me as always to the highest debut for which you have to look to the lower part of the chart. The highest debut is “Anxious” (#84) by Kate Voegele. Although this single is the highest debut for Kate Voegele it isn’t a good start. I’m still unsure about this song, but on the other hand it got its debut. Other debuts are “L.O.V.(e).” (#85) by Ella Eyre, “No love” (#86) by Noak Hellsing, “Can’t get out of bed” (#91) by Crimson Apple, “Little thing called love” (#92) by Ronan Keating, “Fire and flame” (#93) by Kip Moore, “Nie mehr allein” (#94, “Never alone anymore”) by Luca Hänni, “Deep end” (#98) by Holly Humberstone, “Bloody Valentine” (#99) by Machine Gun Kelly and “Du spinnst” (#100, “You’re crazy”) by Christin Stark.
