Week 620 – January 14th, 2023

A longer run at the top spot has “Nie wieder sehen” (#1, “Never see again”) by JuJu. It’s the longest running rap song at the top of my chart. Still in the hunt is “Danke” (#2, “Thank you”) by 1986zig. For the first time in the Top 3 is “I’m a mess” (#3) by Avril Lavigne & YUNGBLUD. The swapped spots with former #1 “Anti-Hero” (#4) by Taylor Swift. It’s her highest ranked one among three songs by her in the Top 10. New in the Top 5 is “In Flammen” (#5, “In flames”) by LEA.

“Girl at home” (#6) by Taylor Swift dropped out of the Top 5. Also, down one spot is “Talking to yourself” (#7) by Carly Rae Jepsen after climbing up last week. Dylan Conrique is swimming on a big wave with her song “Get over you” (#8). “Bejeweled” (#9) by Taylor Swift and “Ghost of you” (#10) by Mimi Webb are on their way out of this part of the chart.

This week my chart slowed down. So, the greatest gainer of the week only climbed up 13 spots. The award goes to three different songs. First to mention is “If Jesus was a rockstar” (#24) by Kim Petras. Could this song be her 1st Top 10 smash? Still not sure, but possible. PRIZM’s song “Can’t go back” (#25) is also awarded. And last but not least “ ‘this the damn season” (#61) by Taylor Swift got the award too. The highest debut didn’t reach the Top 80. It is “All the way” (#81) by PRIZM.
