Week 643 – June 24th, 2023

How can I best describe this week with one word. Stress! Unfortunately, this stress was only caused by me because of procrastination. So, I had a lot more to do to prepare for the last conference in the school year than usual. This also led to less debuts due the lack of time I had to discover new music. Because of that I concentrated on the newer songs on my chart but let’s go back on track. Pale Waves are still at the top, but there is still a new #1. They changed the spot and so “Without you” (#1) is now leading in front of “Only problem” (#2). Back at the podium is five time #1 “Temporary” (#3) by Alexa Cappelli. Also, up one spot is “Renn zurück” (#4, “Run back”) by Esther Graf & Fourty. Although I like this one there is probably no chance to see this song topping the chart. The reason can be found directly behind. Here is “Favorite kind of high” (#5) by Kelly Clarkson which climbed up three spots and should take over very soon.

Dropping out of the Top 5 is my country #1 “Velvet heartbreak” (#6) by Carrie Underwood. Last week m els debuted in the Top 10 this week “So good (at what you do)” (#7) climbed up two and is now attacking the Top 5. On its way up is also the title track “Psychopath” (#8) from Morgan Wades upcoming new album. I hope that this album will be as good as her debut one. Next in line are two new songs in this part of the chart. For both acts it is a return to these spheres. The higher ranked one is “Talk to me” (#9) by Mina Okabe. The other one is “Dive” (#10) by Olivia Dean.

Last week Lena debuted with her new single “What I want” (#55). This week the song is the greatest gainer of the week after climbing up 17 spots. As always this leads to the highest debut. As pointed out I hadn’t really time to listen to new music, so I decided to go with album cuts for this week’s edition. Therefore, the highest debut is “F.U.” (#85) by Avril Lavigne. The other debuts are “All I wanted” (#86) by Avril Lavigne feat. Mark Hoppus, “Change of heart” (#87) by Natalie Imbruglia and "Human touch” (#88) also by Natalie Imbruglia.
