Week 651 – August 19th, 2023

At the top of the chart there isn’t a lot of action for this week’s edition. Austrian Tagtraeumer are still topping the chart with their smash “Alles und mehr (#1, “Everything and more”). “Through your eyes” (#2) by Morgan Wade is now for a fourth time directly behind the #1. Also holding its spot are the rest of the Top 5. This means that “Temporary” (#3) by Alexa Cappelli is still at the podium. “Psychopath” (#4) by Morgan Wade is next followed by “Jaded” (#5) by Miley Cyrus. In general, all these songs didn’t move.

The first up moving song is “What I want” (#6) by Lena. In her shadow “The very first sight” (#7) by Taylor Swift is also climbing up the chart. Both songs have the chance to reach the Top 5 by next week, although it could be hard for Lena’s song as there is new concurrence outside the Top 5. LEA dropped two spots with “Tausendmal” (#8, “Thousand times”). This week’s Top 10 is rounded out with two new songs in this part of the chart. The higher ranked one is “When I get there” (#9) by P!nk. The other one is “I can see you” (#10) by Taylor Swift.

As last week US singer Munn is awarded with the greatest gainer of the week after climbing up 13 spots with “Belongs with you” (#27). Although there aren’t more than 10 debuts three of this week’s debuts landed in the Top 40. The highest debut is by Holly Humberstone. For her song “Superbloodmoon” (#35) she teamed up with d4vd. I really love this duet and it could earn them a Top 10 spot in the future. The 2nd best debut is also a duet. This time it is between Knox (I haven’t heard about him before) and Charlotte Sands. Their song “We’re not in love anymore” landed at #36. These debuts are followed by Austrian singer fiio. I really like his single “Sofia” (#37). As I haven’t heard about him before I gave his song a listen, but these are too alternative for me, so maybe he will be a one hit wonder for me, but who knows the future.

Other debuts are “Karma” (#76) by Emma-Mo, “No pare” (#98, “Don’t stop”) by Natti Natasha and “Butterflies” (#99) by Fiji Blue.
