Week 690 – May 18th, 2024

Italy rocks! Four out of ten songs in the Top 10 are from Italy. Leading the pack is still “CLICK BOOM!” (#1) by Rose Villain for now a third week in a row. For the 2nd time “Sinceramente” (#2, “Sincerely”) by Annalisa failed to take over and so this song is stuck at the runner’s up spot. Also non-moving is former #1 “Killer” (#3) by FKA twigs. New in the Top 5 is “Contigo” (#4, “With you”) by Karol G & Tiësto. For both this is their first Top 5 hit on my chart. Dropping one spot is former #1 “Keep your demons” (#5) by TAELA.

“Keep your demons” is followed by “You & me” (#6) by Jennie which is now the longest charting KPOP song on my chart. Directly behind you can find “Was zu verlieren” (#7, “What to lose”) by Madeline Juno. On her way out of the Top 10 is Ella Stern with her chart debut “R&J” (#8) after dropping three spots. Next in line is four times #1 “Euforia” (#9, “Euphoria”) by Annalisa. And last but not least there is a new song in this part too. It is “Un ragazzo una ragazzo” (#10, “A boy a girl”) by The Kolors. For them it is their Top 10 debut.

The greatest gainer of the week is “The door” (#56) by Teddy Swims after climbing up 12 spots in its 3rd charting week. This song is placed five spots behind the highest debut. This week this debut is from Austria. Tagtraeumer are back with a new single. By the way they failed to enter the chart with their song “Irgendwas” (“Anythong”). I can’t remember if they ever failed to debut, but back to this week’s debut. Here they are debuting with their new song “Jugendpoesie” (#51, “Youth poetry”) along with Tina Naderer. For the moment I don’t see this song topping the chart, but as a lot of their older songs this one could perform very well.
