Week 696 – June 29th, 2024

For a 2nd week Austrian acts Tagtrauemer and Tina Naderer are topping the chart with their song“Jugendpoesie” (#1, “Youth poetry”). There is a new concurrence behind this song. It is “Narcissists” (#2) by TAELA. This song climbed up three spots and could be her 2nd #1 on my chart. Dropping one spot is former #1 “CLICK BOOM! (#3) by Rose Villain. Also one down is “Sinceremente” (#4, “Your sincerely”) by Annalisa. The third song in a row which dropped one spot is “Wunder” (#5, “Wonder”) by AYLIVA & Apache 207.

Holding its spot near the Top 5 is “Killer” (#6) by FKA twigs. “Killer” is now four months in the Top 10. Directly behind is “You love who you love” (#7) by Zara Larsson which climbed up one spot. Next in line is “Remember that” (#8) by LANY which reached this part for the first time. “Apnea” (#9) by Emma dropped two spots and on its way out is “Game over” (#10) by Tina Naderer. It could be her last week with two songs in the Top 10.

Outside the Top 10 there are two more songs in the Top 20 with a big chance to enter next week’s Top 10. First to mention is German singer Lena with her latest single. Her song “Good again” (#11) climbed up nine spots and is knocking heavily at the door to this part of the chart. The other one is “Ein Lied” (#15, “A song”) by Austrian Esther Graf. She now has four songs in this week’s edition. The highest ranked is “Ein Lied” while “She’s so cool” (#16) dropped four and “Star potential” (#42) climbed up 12 spots. I pointed out she released another song as a single which is “Background check”. This song is in at #68 which isn’t the highest debut. Speaking about Esther Graf I’ve to point out that she finally released her 1st album. Eight of this 15 songs had been released as regular singles until this album was dropped. I definitely have to check this album out.

After two weeks Esther Graf isn’t awarded with the greatest gainer of the week, but maybe next week she will have her comeback with “Background check”. This week the award goes to two songs which climbed up 14 spots. The higher ranked one is “I had some help” (#34) by Post Malone feat. Morgan Wallen in its 7th week. The other one is the Kelsea Ballerini’s album cut “I guess they call it fallin’” (#63). Caught between these two songs is this week’s highest debut. It is by German singer JUNA who got her debut on my chart. Her single “Keine Liebe (nobody to love)” is in at #55. This song is a reminiscence to Sigma’s 2014 hit “Nobody to love” which originally was a bootleg remix of “Bound 2” by Kayne West feat. Charlie Wilson. Both songs I’ve not charted back in the days.
