Week 693 – June 8th, 2024

Italiy is still ruling my chart with the Top 3 acts. For now three weeks “Sinceramente” (#1, “Sincerely”) by Annalisa is topping the chart while three times #1 “Click boom!” (#2) by Rose Villain can be found at the runner’s up position. New in the Top 3 is “Apnea” (#3) by Emma. So my two favourite artists from Italy are in the Top 3! Dropping out of this part of the chart is “Contigo” (#4, “Without you”) by Karol G & Tiësto. They are followed by longtime #1 “Killer” (#5) by FKA twigs.

80’s pop “Hearts on the run” (#6) by Delta Goodrem is up one spot. Next in line is the 1st of three songs by German and Austrian artists in the Top 10. It is “Wunder” (#7, “Wonder”) by AYLIVA x Apache 207. Then there is the highest ranked new song in this part. It is “Jugendpoesie” (#8, “Youth poesy”) by Tagtraeumer feat. Tina Naderer. As this song is growing on me more and more there is a big chance to see this song at #1 in a few weeks. This isn’t the only song by Tina Naderer in my Top 10. She entered the Top 10 solo with “Game over” (#10) too. Caught between this songs is “You & me” (#9) by Jennie.

This week LANY is celebrating the award for the greatest gainer of the week with “Remember that” (#26). This song climbed up 13 spots and is placed three spots behind this week’s highest debut. This debut is by US artist TAELA. Her single “Narcissists” (#23) has been released several months ago, but it is now the 3rd chart hit by her in a row, which is no surprise as I bought her debut album. I definitely love her voice and “Narcissists” is a candidate for a spot in the Top 3. The 2nd best new song is “Wolke 8” (#56, “Cloud 8”) by German singer Becks. I haven’t heard about her before, but this one is really good.

Other debuts are “Without you” (#58) by Felix Jaehn feat. Jasmine Thompson, “I can’t (#59) by TAELA, “Stumblin’ in” (#82) by Cyril – I had to listen to this song several times on my favourite radio station and so it has grown on me for a debut in this week’s chart –, “Alone” (#83) by Cat Burns, “Boom! Boom!” (#84) by Neonlicht, “Raise your glass” (#86) by Kissin’ Dynamite, “Little bit better” (#87) by Caleb Hearn feat. ROSIE, “Changed man” (#88) by J.Y. Park, “Here by now” (#96) by Drove feat. Lilly Ahlberg, “Hopeless guy” (#97) by JUNG and “Forbidden midnight” (#99) by iii.
