Week 711 – October 12th, 2024

A lot has been going on in school during this week, so there isn’t any big very big movement. At the top you still can find “Estate” (#1, “Summer”) by Luca Vasta. Surprisingly she also defended the crown. Still in the hunt is “Erase you” (#2) by Mimi Webb. Up one spot and for the first time in the Top 3 is “Last one to love me” (#3) by Dylan Conrique. “Losers look like me” (#4) by Morgan Wade is her last song which had to leave the Top 3. Hopefully she will be back in this part soon. Holding its spot in the Top 5 is another song by her. “Domino” (#5) didn’t move.

Up two spots is “Bloom” (#6) by Cheat Codes x Train. Here I’m not sure if this song will enter the Top 5. Dropping one spot is “Time to love, time to kill” (#7) by Morgan Wade. The duet “Die with a smile” (#8) by Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars is up two spots while “Für immer jetzt” (#9, “Forever now”) by Clueso dropped two spots. Rounding out this week’s Top 10 is “Bright lights” (#10) by The Killers.

This week’s greatest gainer of the week is “Zeit heilt einen Scheiß” (#37, “Time heals a shit”) by Antje Schomaker. Her song climbed up 14 spots in this week’s edition. Blackpink member LISA is debuting with her latest single “Moonlit floor” (#47). If you think that at least the refrain is familiar, then you are right. This is an interpolation of the 1990’s smash “Kiss me” by Sixpence None The Richer which is among my all time favorites. I really like what LISA is doing and I hope that this song will end in the Top 20 at least. The highest debut is directly followed by the 2nd highest. It is “Heart like mine” (#48) by Sam Feldt feat. Rosa Linn. Rosa Linn is well known for her hit “Snap” which failed to enter my chart.

Other debuts are “Strong” (#78) by Mina Okabe, “Nach Hause telefonieren” (#81, “Calling home”), “Universe” (#84) and “Weather” (#85) by Kelsea Ballerini, “Gone” (#88) by Amy Shark, “Als ich fortging” (#89) by Udo Jürgens – this is the first single release 10 years after he is gone forever –, “Hush little baby” (#90) by Ashley Ryan, “I know it’ll never end” (#91) by The Castellowsl, “I ain’t crazy” (#98) by Erin Kinsey and “Pick her up at 8” (#100) by Kaylee Rose.
