Week 728– February 8th, 2025

 There is nothing new at the top. US singer Gracie Abrams is topping the chart with “That’s so true” (#1) for a fourth week in a row. Up one spot are “Baby tu” (#2, “Baby you”) by Luca Vasta and “Love letter” (#3) by Knox. Both songs could take over next week. Dropping two spots is former #1 “Number one girl” (#4) by ROSÉ. She is now caught between two songs by Knox. His other one is “Not The 1975” (#5) which is now in the Top 5 for the first time.

New in the Top 10 is “Reservetank” (#6, “Reserve tank”) by Madeline Juno. Her rise into the Top 10 isn’t really a surprise as she had several big hits in the past since her debut with “Error” and then her change to songs in German. Next in line and down two spots is “Toxic till the end” (#7) by ROSÉ. This one is followed by the next new song in this part of the chart. It is “Irgendwohin” (#8, “Somewhere”) by Antje Schomaker feat. Eva Briegel. This one could bring Antje Schomaker for the first time into the Top 5. Then there are “L’amore” (#9, “Love”) by Luca Vasta which dropped one spot and former #1 “Dancing in a hurricane” (#10) by Freya Ridings which dropped three spots.

Last week “Just friends” (#23) was awarded with the greatest gainer of the after climbing up 14 spots. As last week this song by Leslie Clio climbed up again 14 spots and as last week there is another song with the same number of climbs. This week it is “In anderen Armen” (#30, “In other arms”) by Ness & Madeline Juno. This leads me to the highest debut. It is by German band Brunke who recently had their chart debut. Now they return with “Zu schön” (#41, “Too beautiful”) which is growing on my very fast. So you should be warned to find this song in the Top 10 in the near future. The 2nd best debut is a big surprise. 01099 are now for the rap song. Since their debut in 2019 they had several hits in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Normally I skip their songs as this isn’t the kind of music I’m listening too. This time their song “Augenblick” (#51, “Moment”) instantly caught me and so the got their first solo appearance.
