Week 775 – January 3rd, 2025

Jisoo & Zayn climbed up three spots after the little drop last week. So they are now topping the chart with “Eyes closed” (#1). I’m not there for you” (#2) by Jessie Murph also did a step up but fell short to reach the top spot. Down two spots is last week’s #1 “The fate of Ophelia” (#3) by Taylor Swift. Interesting to see is that “Unsterblich sein” (#4, “Be immortal”) by Kraftklub feat. Domiziana climbed up one spot in its 15th charting week. For Paula Engels it hadn’t been a good week. Her former #1 “Mittelfinger an die Welt” (#2, “Middle finger to the world”) dropped three spots and is now closing the Top 5.

Knocking at the door to the Top 5 is “Gommapiuma” (#6, “Foam rubber”) by Annalisa after climbing up one spot. It swapped the spot with “Wieso” (#7, Why”) Esther Graf. The rest of the Top 10 is stable and didn’t move this week. So “Nighttime thing” by Alessia Cara & Julia Michaels is in at #8, “Blowing smoke” (#9) by Gracie Abrams at #9 and “XXL” by LANY at #10.

The award for the greatest gainer of the week goes to LEA with her song “Ich bin” (#32, “I am”) which climbed up 13 spots. The highest debut is by German singer SOPHIA. Her single “Alles ist g.u.t” (#56, “Everything is OK”) just failed to enter the Top 50, but should soon reach the Top 40 at least. The 2nd best debut is a little bit older. It is “Used to love you” (#73) by Emma Steinbakken which has been released as a regular single back in 2023.
