Week 778 – January 24th, 2026

This week there is a big surprise at the top spot. Sprinting up the chart is LEA with a song from her 2024 album “Von der Schönheit und der Zerbrechlichkeit der Dinge“. Her song “Ich bin“ (#1) climbed up six spots and took over from “I’m not there for you” (#3) by Jessie Murph which dropped two spots. Caught between these songs is former #1 “Eyes closed” (#2) by Jisoo & Zayn. For Taylor Swift it goes down one spot with “The fate of Ophelia” (#4). On the other had with “Opalite” (#16) she has another big hit in her pocket. Holding its spot in the Top 5 is “New heart” (#5) by Crash Adams.

Next in line is the highest new ranked one in the Top 10. It is “I knew it, I know you” (#6) by Gracie Abrams. In its 6th week the song climbed up 10 spots to reach this spot. Maybe this one is another #1 hit for her. Up two spots is “Don’t worry” (#7) by Leony while “Loser” (#8) by Sophia and the Giants is holding its spot. Down five spots is four times #1 “Unsterblich sein” (#4, “Be immortal”) by Kraftklub feat. Domiziana. It seems that their Top 10 run will end very soon.

This week’s greatest gainer is “Losing my mind” (#54) by Anouk. It climbed up 11 spots and fell short for a spot in the Top 50. This brings me to this week’s highest debut. It is a country song which gaining popularity in the US because of its retro style. As you guessed it, it is “Choosin’ Texas” (#35) by Ella Langley whose latest album “Hungover” I’ve bought. She had similar success with her song “You look like you love me” (peaked at #34) feat. Riley Green. Both songs remind me to older country songs and I love both. One spot behind there is another new song. It is the 2nd single from the upcoming album “Cruel world” by Holly Humberstone. Her song “To love somebody” is in it #35 and should do well on my chart. Hopefully it will end in the Top 10 which will be harder for her single “Die happy” (#65). And there is another debut in the Top 40. It is “Never be me (m★therf★cker)” by Cherry Bomb. This is the solo project from MisterWives front singer Mandy Lee. I really like this one and you definitely should check this one out.
