Week 779 – January 31st, 2026

After last week’s sprint to #1 LEA stayed with “Ich bin” (#1, “I am”). Unfortunately for her there is a new concurrence directly behind. Climbing up four spots to the runner’s up spot is “I knew it, I know you” (#2) by Gracie Abrams. The next two songs are non-moving. First to mention is former #1 “I’m not there for you” (#3) by Jessie Murph which is still at the podium. The other one is also a former #1, but if failed to rebounce into the Top 3. It is “The fate of Ophelia” (#4) by Taylor Swift. German singer Leony is doing well with her single “Don’t worry” (#5) which is up two spots again.

Dropping out of the Top 5 is “Eyes closed” (#6) by Jisoo & Zayn. Surprisingly down are Crash Adams with “New heart” (#7). Maybe it is only a short break? Only time will tell. Next in line is the only new song it the Top 10. It is “Fremdknutschen” (#8, “Snog someone else”). Down one is the following song in the Top 10. “Loser” (#8) by Sophia and the Giants is on its way out of this part of the chart. The other on is holding its spot and rounding out this week’s Top 10. It is “Darüber schlafen” (#10, “Sleep on it”) by Esther Graf.

The greatest gainer of the week climbed all the way into the Top 10. It is “To love somebody” (#16) by Holly Humberstone. For this could be her biggest hit. Maybe? This week I heard this song for the first time on my favourite radio station. It has also been the first time I heard a song by her on the radio. So maybe it will chart in the future, but the success isn’t guaranteed. Directly behind – also in the Top 20 – you can find the highest debut. It is by Robbie Williams. For him this song is his first chart appearance since 2015 when his chart run as a feature artist on the Avicii track “The days” (peaked at #13) ended. The only time in the Top 10 had been in the 2013 when “Candy” peaked at #5. It seems at this particular song brings him back to chart position where he had been in the past.

Other debuts are “Miles away” (#46) by Ofenbach – South African singer Julia Church isn’t credited as a singer on this song –, “Elizabeth Taylor” (#55), “Father figure” (#88) all by Taylor Swift, “Her on my mind” (#75) by PAENDA, “Beat yourself up” (#80) by Charlie Puth, “Be alright” (#82) by IVE, “WONDA” (#89) by Aris Valentino, “Love like that” (#92) by Jordana Bryant and “Als wir noch Kinder waren” (#97, “When we were children”) by Luna Simao.
