Week 105 – March 2nd, 2013

This week I can celebrate the 2nd anniversary of my chart. And it starts with a novum. The whole Top 5 is holding steady. Jillette Johnson is leading the pack for a third week in a row with “Torpeodo” while Taylor Swift’s “I knew you were trouble.” is in the runner’s up position. Climbing up 3 spots in the Top 10 is “Just give me a reason” (#6) by Pink feat. Nate Ruess. This song is the only climber within the Top 10. And there is only one song dropping down. It’s “Raver” (#10) by The Storm. When I’m writing that there is only one song dropping down in the Top 10 I’m not entirely honest. “Red” (#12) by Taylor Swift slipped out of the Top 10 and was replaced by “Because we can” (#9) by Bon Jovi who had there last big hit for me with “It’s my life” back in 2000 when I had my final excams in school.

“Rebel beat” (#11) by The Goo Goo Dolls failed by one spot the Top 10. There are two new songs knocking at this door. First to mention is “Hello” (#15) by Kelly Clarkson which is climbing up 9 spots. The other one is this week’s highest new entry. Lana Del Rey released a new single for Austria, Germany and Switzerland. “Dark paradise” debuts at #19 which is the first new entry in the Top 40 since five weeks. While this song is debuting within the Top 20 “Explode” (#29) by Cover Drive feat. Dappy left this section after 26 weeks in a row.

Last week Swedish #1 single “Uncover” (#40) by Zara Larsson debuted at #75. This week this song which is sounds like “Umbrella” by Rihanna climbed up 35 spots and is the greatest gainer of the week. The 2nd best new entry comes from Austria. Saint Lu took part in the German preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. “Craving” (#47) failed to reach a top spot there but this week it could be found on my chart. Also reaching my chart is the live performance “In the air tonight” (#73) by Daughtry feat. Brad Arnold.
