Week 344 – September 30th, 2017

The Taylor Swift reign lasted only two weeks. This week “Look what you made me do” (#2) was replaced by Cold War Kids. For them “So tied up” is their 2nd #1 this year following “Can we hang on?” which dropped of this week. “So tied up” is a duet with British singer Bishop Briggs. For her “So tied up” is her first appearance on my chart and with this song she went all the way up to #1. That’s definitely nice for her. Still rounding out the podium are Austrian Tagtraeumer with “Himmelblaue Couch” (#3, “Sky blue couch”). This one is still followed by they bands former #1 “Straßenlaternen” (#4, “Street lights”). In general the Top 5 saw only one change, because of the fact that “Gift” (#5, “Poison”) by Madeline Juno is also holding its spot.

Up two spots is Pink with her latest hit single “What about us” (#6). There is a good chance to see her in my Top 5 by next week. Austrian newcomer JackTheBusch also climbed up two spots with his song “Blinder Passagier” (#7, “Blind passenger”). While these songs did better than last week former #1 “Still in love with you” (#8) by Norma Jean Martine dropped two spots. Norma Jean Martine is followed by the only new artist in this week’s Top 10. Let’s welcome Country singer Jillian Jacqueline for first time in this part of my chart. Her super cool “Hate me” (#9) reached this part after a two spot climb. And last but not least in my Top 10 is former #1 “Killer” (#10) by Aurea.

Over the last weeks you saw more than 30 debuts. This week is rather calm with nine new entries. The highest of these debuts is by British singer Craig David. His new single “Heartline” (#82) is starting its chart run outside the Top 80 which is not very impressive, but who knows maybe these songs are rocking my chart in the near future. Craig David is followed by Demi Lovato’s “Tell me you love me” (#83) as well as by Rhys’ “Too good to be true” (#84). Other debuts are “Gotham City” (#85) by Antje Schomaker, “Miles” (#86) by Phillip Phillips, “Hold me down” (#93) by Katrin Woolverton, “Supercharged” (#94) by Ivy Quainoo, “Hungry” (#98) by Jessie James Decker and “Meerweh” (#99, “Sea sickness”) by Fabian Wegerer.
