Week 433 – June 15th, 2019

This week Avril Lavigne got her third #1 from the “Head above water”-album. “I fell in love with the devil” (#1) climbed up one spot and changed the spot with former #1 “Undrunk” (#2) by Fletcher. The LANY songs “If you see her” (#3) and “Thick and thin” (#4) are holding their spots. New among the Top 5 songs is Country pop by Lacy Cavalier. Her song “Blue suede couch” (#5) climbed up one spot.

Directly behind the Top 5 is another song by Avril Lavigne. “Birdie” (#6) also climbed up one spot. French singer Anaïs Delva is continuing her upwards trend with climbing up two spots with “J’ai su” (#7, “I knew”). Next in line is the first out of two new songs in the Top 10. For German singer Jeanette Biedermann her deep personal song “Deine Geschichten” (#8, “Your stories”) isn’t only her comeback song it is also her first Top 10 hit with her first charting song since I re-started charting. Caught between the new songs in the Top 10 is “Malelingue” (#9, “Gossips”) by Emma. The other new song in the Top 10 is also a song in German. It is the rap track “Vermissen” (#10, “Miss”) by Juju feat. Henning May. I never thought that this song will go all the way into the Top 10, but I definitely enjoy listening to this song.

While there are “only” nine debuts outside my Top 50 the greatest gainer of the week stormed into this part of the chart. Katy Perry debuted last week with her new song “Never really over” (#30) which samples Dagny’s 2017 single “Love you like that”. “Never really over” climbed up 45 spots and maybe “Love you like that” will be found on the chart in the future because I’ve not charted this song in the past. The highest new entry is by the German comedy duo Das Lumpenpack. Their new single “Hauch mich mal an” (#76, “Breathe on me”) is a decent song which could do well.

Other debuts are “Mad love” (#77) by Mabel, “Ciao baby” (#78) by Wanda, “See you again” (#79) by Helene Fischer - this is her first official single in English -, “Call it what you want” (#83), “This is why we can’t have nice things” (#84) and “Dress” (#88) all by Taylor Swift, “Some people” (#95) by Jasmine Thompson and “Possible” (#100) by Darius & Finlay & Adam Bü feat. Max Landry.
