Week 537 – June 12th, 2021

Believe it or not Annalisa isn't at the top with her recent smash "Nuda" (#2). It dropped one spot and swapped the spot with LEA'S album cut "Wenn nur Liebe hilft" (#1, "If only love could help"). This is definitely a nice song, but in the long run this song won't be a long running #1. Still in the hunt is "I wü Di" (#3, "I want you") by Austrian band Schwarzweiß. Up three spots and new in the Top 5 is "Drei Uhr nachts" (#4, "Three o'clock am"). This duet by Mark Forster & LEA is surely a candidate for the #1. Directly behind is the other new song in the Top 5. German Schlager singer Vanessa Mai climbed up one spot with her recent single "Ruf nicht mehr an" (#5, "Don't call anymore").

Dropping out of this part are Mandy Capristo with her comeback single "Genug" (#6, "Enough") and former #1 "Drivers license" (#7) by Olivia Rodrigo. These songs are followed by the only new addition in the Top 10. US-superstar Taylor Swift returns with "You all over me" feat. Maren Morris. I absolutely adore this song. Holding its spot is "Lass mich los" (#9, "Let me go") by Madeline Juno. She just released another single which definitely debut next week. "John Hughes movie" (#10) by Maisie Peters is rounding out this week's Top 10.

And the award for the greatest gainer of the week goes to Taylor Swift. It is another song from her re-released album "Fearless (Taylor's Version)". "Mr. perfectly fine" (#21) climbed up 20 spots and has everything to reach the #1 in the very near future. But there is one song which has something against it. It is Olivia Rodrigo's 3rd single "Good 4 U" (#34) from her debut album "Sour". "Deja vu" (#55) really failed to impress me and is stuck outside the Top 50 for the moment. "Good 4 U" on the other side has everything I like and reminds me a little bit to the early releases by Avril Lavigne which is definitely a good sign. Both songs "Mr. perfectly fine" and "Good 4 U" should battle for the top spot in the next weeks.

The 2nd highest debut is by Katy Perry. Over the last years I had a hit and miss relationship with her songs. Now she released a new song which really like. "Electric" (#58) has done well with a very solid debut just outside the Top 50. As my chart has grown old over the last weeks I also see the chance for this song to reach the Top 10. Directly behind the new single "Our song" (#59) by Anne-Marie & Niall Horan debuts. In total there are 19 songs debuting in this week's edition.
