Week 569 – January 22nd, 2022

Last week Ed Sheeran reached eventually #1 with "Overpass graffiti". His reign lasted only one week because of the fact that Avril Lavigne is scoring another #1 with her recent single "Bite me" (#1). It is her 1st #1 since "I fell in love with the devil" back in February 2019 which spent a single week at the top. New in the Top 3 is "I bet you think about me" (#3) by Taylor Swift feat. Chris Stapleton. Most chart topping songs over the last weeks spent only one or two weeks at the top so it is likely that this one will reach the top spot by next week. Not far behind is "Oh my god" (#4) by Adele. If this song will reach #1 it could be Adele's 1st #1 since "Remedy" (spent two weeks at the top) back in February 2017. Down two spots and rounding out this week's Top 5 is former #1 "Küsse wie Gift" (#5, "Kisses like poison") by LEA & LUNA.

Dropping out of the Top 5 is former #1 "Red flags" (#6) by Esther Graf. One spot behind is her other single "Tschau tschau" (#7, "Bye bye"). This song climbed up one spot. Also up one spot is "When you're drunk" (#8) by LANY. For Katy Krasavice's & Leony's 1st Top 10 hit "Raindrops" (#9) the Top 10 run is probably over after dropping down three spots. And last but not least "Shivers" (#10) by Ed Sheeran is holding its spot in the Top 10.

The greatest gainer of the week is a single from Carly Pearce album "29: Written in stone". Her duet "Never wanted to be that girl" (#41) with Ashley McBryde climbed up 21 spots. As always the information for the greatest gainer of the week is followed by the highest debut. This week British singer James Morrison returned with "Don't mess with love" (#56) from his "Greatest hits" album. He had is most successful years between 2006 and 2011. Since that he had only minor hits or his songs missed the charts. The last time he entered had been back in 2019 when he released the song "My love goes on" (peaked at #11 in April 2019) with Joss Stone. His duet partner also debuts this week with "Never forget my love" (#90). It also her 1st charting hit since 2019.

Other debuts are "Isabelle" (#77) by Zach Hood, "Hollywood" (#80) and "Nordlichter" (#94, "Northern lights") by Benne, "Love for a minute" (#83) by Teddy Swims, "Missing you sucks" (#85) by Clara Mae, "Strangers" (#93) by Ashley Kutcher, "Swimmingpool" (#99) by Marie Bothmer and "Der Sommer" (#100, "The summer") by Bosse.
