Week 589 – June 11th, 2022

For a 2nd time within a year Morgan Wade reached #1 on my chart. This time her single “Run” (#1) from the deluxe version of “Reckless” took over after climbing up two spots in its 9th charting week. This song is also #1 on my country chart for now six weeks. Last week’s top song “Funke, Flächenbrand” (#2, “Spark, wildfire”) dropped one spot which also did “Something better” (#3) by Anouk. New in the Top 5 is “Von dir ein Tattoo” (#4, “A tattoo of you”) by Josh.. It is his premiere in this part of the chart and maybe his is following Mathea as an artist from Austria who is topping the chart. Next in line is former #1 “When you lose someone” (#5) by Nina Nesbitt.

One spot behind the Top 5 is LEA with her song “Fluss” (#6, “River”) after climbing up two spots. Two spots down is “Nie begegnet” (#7, “Never met”) by Esther Graf & Monet192. It’s great to have a song by Esther Graf in the Top 10, but unfortunately this song will leave this part soon. “She’s all I wanna be” (#8) by Tate McRae is also on its way of this part of the chart. The next two songs are new in the Top 10. The higher ranked one is the Spanish one “En el coche” (#9, “In the car”) by Aitana. The other one is “Higher water” (#10) by Bishop Briggs.

Last week “Last cigarette” (#43) by Morgan Wade was awarded with the greatest gainer of the week. This week she did it again after climbing up 15 spots, but there is another song which also climbed up 15 spots. It is “Immer wieder” (#49, “Again and again”) by LEA. After this the information about the highest debut is following. Other than last week the highest debut just debuted within the Top 70. It is a rock cover version of Britney Spears’ hit song “Toxic” (#70) by Canadian singer Rain Paris who recently reached the Top 3 with the cover of “Easy on me” (#15).
