Week 590 – June 18th, 2022

Morgan Wade is holding her top position with “Run” (#1). I really like this one, but her other song “Last cigarette” (#19) is sprinting up the chart and maybe it is the successor. Still at #2 is “Funke, Flächenbrand” (“Spark, wildfire”) by Austrian singer Mathea. For Austrian Josh. the one spot climb with “Von dir ein Tattoo” (#3, “A tattoo of you”) earns him the first Top 3 appearance. Dropping out of the Top 3 is “Something better” (#4) by Anouk. LEA is retouring in the Top 5 with “Fluss” (#5, “River”).

“Fluss” swapped the spot with “When you lose someone” (#6) by Nina Nesbitt. As this song is among the youngest in the Top 10 Aitana has a little chance for reaching the top spot with “En el coche” (#7, “In the car”). Directly behind you can find 5 times #1 “She’s all I wanna be” (#8) by Tate McRae. This one is followed by Bishop Briggs’ emotional “High water” (#9). For the first time in the Top 10 “Swimmingpool” (#10, “Swimming pool”) by German LEA can be found. This song is her 2nd appearance in the Top 10 for this week’s edition.

I mention it earlier in this post. “Last cigarette” (#19) is sprinting up the chart. This week the song is awarded with the greatest gainer of the week for the third time in a row. This is a rare event on my chart. For the highest debut you must go down the chart. Just inside the Top 70’s two songs are debuting. The highest debut is “So good” (#66) by Halsey. I believe that this song will bring her at least into the Top 20, but only the future knows. The other one is “Stay the night” (#67) by Sigala and Talia Mar. In Great Britain she is well-known, but I personally haven’t heard of her. Maybe she is starting a big career in music, but for the moment I’m not sure about it.
