Week 601 – September 3rd, 2022

A week ago I celebrated a special chart. Pale Waves had a #1 hit with “Lies” which still is at #1 for a 3rd time. Directly behind you can find another hit song by them. “Jealousy” (#3) climbed up one spot and changed with “Last cigarette” (#3) by Morgan Wade. For another week “sad = sexy” (#4) by Esther Graf is holding its spot in the Top 5. New in this part is “Irrelevant” (#5) by Pink.

Pink replaced former candidate for the top spot sangiovanni & Aitana with their hit song “Mariposas” (#6, “Butterflies”). Next in line you can find “What he didn’t do” (#7) by Carly Pearce which is still in the hunt for the Country #1. “Girl of you dreams” (#8) by Dylan climbed up two spots. Unfortunately, I don’t see that this song will outperform her biggest charting hit “No Romeo”. This song is followed by the only new song in the Top 10. “All these nights” (#9) by Tom Grennan climbed up six spots and earns him the first Top 10 appearance. “This hell” (#10) by Rina Sawayama is rounding out this week’s Top 10.

Esther Graf debuted last weeks with the last two songs from her EP “Red flags”. This week “Wie mein Herz bricht” (#38, “How my heart breaks”) climbed up 26 spots and is awarded with the greatest gainer of the week. The Top 3 debuts are all from LANY’s 2021 album “gg bb xx”. The highest one is “Dancing in the kitchen” (#51) which just missed the Top 50. The other debuts from this album are “Stupid feelings” (#56) with 220 Kid and “Never mind, let’s break up” (#58).
