Week 685 – April 13th, 2024

The actual #1 seems to be unstoppable. “Killer” (#1) by FKA twigs is topping the chart now for a sixth week in a row. This song is holding “Keep your demons” (#2) by TAELA back. New in the Top 3 is Austrian singer Esther Graf with Montez and their song “Überall” (#3, “Everywhere”). Former four times #1 “You & me” (#4) by Jennie dropped out of the Top 3 in its 15th charting week. New in this part of the chart is Ella Stern. For her “R&J” (#5) is her 1st Top 5 hit with her 1st chart appearance.

“Euforia” (#6, “Euphoria”) by Annalisa had to leave the Top 5 again after a two weeks period of climbing the chart up. Next in line is “When I go” (#7) by Dylan Conrique. Up one spot is the 2nd highest ranked song by TAELA. Her single “Bleachers” now reached #8. Directly behind you can find the two new songs in this part of the chart. The higher ranked one is “CLICK BOOM!” (#9) by Rose Villain. This song failed to represent Italy during this years Eurovision Song Contest, but I really love it. The other new song is “Therapie” (#10, “Therapy”) by WANDA.

Last week saw several debuts by songs which have participated during the qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest. One has just reached the Top 10 and one more is awarded for the greatest gainer of the week. It is “Sinceramente” (#34, “Sincerely”) by Annalisa. This song has to share the award with “She don’t know” (#67) by Carrie Underwood which also climbed up 11 spots.

This brings me to the highest debut which is by Columbian singer KAROL G. She isn’t really a favourite of mine and has failed to enter my chart most of the time with her singles. This time she teamed up wich Tiësto and their song “Contego” (#27, “With you”) is debuting within the Top 30. There is something about the song that I believe they could reach the Top 10 for the first time in their career. The 2nd best new entry is by Australian singer Delta Goodream. Her song “Hearts on the run” (#60) is 80’s inspired with 80’s pop beasts and funky guitar licks. This one also could do well on my chart.
