Week 721– December 21st, 2024

The last week for the year end chart of 2024 is in and there is no surprise at the top of the chart. Freya Ridings is topping the chart for a third week with “Dancing in a hurricane” (#1). Directly behind is still Revelle with her song “Lieb dich, hass dich” (#2, “Love you, hate you”). Unfortunately, her latest single “Zeit” (“Time”) with Jalil failed to enter the chart and I believe that there is no chance to see this song on my chart in the future. Up one spot is “Moonlit floor” which is LISA’s first solo Top 3 hit. Also scoring a Top 5 hit for the first time is Gracie Abrams. Her song “That’s so true” (#4) climbed up three spots. Let’s make it three artists scoring their firsts. ROSÉ climbed up five spots and earned her 1st Top 5 hit with “Number one girl” (#5).

Former #1’s “Ghost me” (#6) by Holly Humberstone and “Ich mag dich” (#7, “I like you”) by LEA had to leave the Top 5 in favor of those Top 5 first timers. Holding its spot is “Melodiös” (#8, “Melodic”) by Federhall. Dropping three spots is Austria LEMO with “Träum” (#9, “Dream”). Rounding out this week’s Top 10 is Freya Ridings. Her song “Blood orange” (#10) dropped one spot.

Luca Vasta is still doing well on my chart. Her single “Baby tu” (#37, “Baby you”) debuted last week and now it is the greatest gainer of the week after climbing up 22 spots. As last week there are only a handful of debuts. The highest of these is “Boy in love” (#80) by Elliot James Reay. It’s nice to see a 50’s inspired track in here, but for the moment I don’t believe that he will enter the Top 20 or even higher very soon. Other debuts are “2 extraños” (#85, “2 strangers”), “24 rosas” (#86, “2 roses”), “Penando en ti” (#87, “Thinking of you”) all by Aitana, “You look like you love me” (#89) by Ella Langley feat. Riley Green, “Rollin’ ” (#94) by TAELA, “38 miles from Montgomery” (#99) by Ashley Brooks and “Shooting star” (#100) by Benjamin Tod.
