Week 725– January 18th, 2025

After three weeks ROSÉ isn’t at the top of the chart. Her song “Number one girl” (#2) dropped one spot and was replaced by Gracie Abrams’ “That’s so true” (#1). For her this the first #1 on my chart. Back in the Top 3 is German-Italian singer Luca Vasta. Her song “Baby tu” (#3, “Baby you”) climbed up one spot. Luca Vasta replaced Freya Ridings in the Top 3. “Dancing in a hurricane” (#4) dropped one spot. Next in line is the highest ranked new song in the Top 10. It is “Love letter” (#5) by Knox.

Once again Nina Chuba missed the Top 10 with “Fliegen” (#6, “Flying”) by one spot. Hopefully she will enter this part next week, but I’m not sure. “Moonlit floor” (#7) by LISA dropped two spots and is now out of the Top 5 and on its way out of the Top 10. Revelle’s “Zu spat” (#8, “Too late”) is the only song in this part of the chart which was non-moving. The following two songs are for the first time in the Top 10. The higher ranked one is “Toxic till the end” (#9) by ROSÉ. The other one is “Not The 1975” (#10) by Knox. Both have now two songs in the Top 10.

After giving his comeback last week German singer Vincent Malin is climbing up the chart very fast. His song “Sonne” (#38, “Sun”) climbed up 17 spots and is the greatest gainer of the week. The highest debut is by a well-known artist. German singer Leslie Clio returns with “Just friends” (#59). Although she has lost her mojo since releasing her 2015 album “Eureka” she has had some hits since that. Now she has entered again, and I hope that she will do well.

Other debuts are “Waiting for you” (#61) by Ali Gatie, “All my love” (#62) by Vella, “Lauren” (#70) and “Baby blues” (#100) by Holly Humberstone, “By your side (in my mind)” (#84) by Leony, “Auf Zeit geliebt” (#87, “Loved for a time”) by Melissa Naschenweng, “Love alive” (#90) by ZZ Ward, “Party allein” (#93, “Party alone”) by CÉLINE, “Day late & a buck short” (#94) by Julia Cole and “Friday night heartbreaker” (#95) by Jon Pardi.
