Week 133 – September 14th, 2013

This week there was no big movement in my Top 10. Still at #1 for a second week is Selena Gomez with her fantastic “Slow down”. “Spiral” (#2) is trying for a comeback, but for now Alanis Morissette can only applause Selena Gomez for her #1. Avril Lavigne is completing the podium with “Rock N Roll” (#3). Directly behind is one of this year’s biggest songs. “Wake me up!” (#4) by Avicii feat. Aloe Blacc are continuing their run by climbing up another spot. My all-time favourite singer Anouk has now three tracks in the Top 30. The best of these three tracks is “Pretending as always” (#8) which rose up two spots. As there is no big movement in this section of the chart and there is also no new song in it.

Mic Donet missed his first Top 10 hit this year by one spot. I believe that “Going insane’s” (#11) week comes next week. Within the second section of my chart several songs reached new peaks beside “Going insane”. Canadian acts iSH and Stef Lang who had a #1 hit last year are peaking at #13 with “Rollin’ ”. And there are Bonnie McKee with “American girl” (#16) and Maroon 5 with “Love somebody” (#14) who are trying to get into the Top 10. Not to forget about Anouk. Her song “Kill” (#15) is going steeply upwards. Jillette Johnson's first charting hit and #1 hit “Torpedo” (#40) returned into the Top 40 again. This song has a very good chance to become my #1 hit of 2013. Two of her songs from her debut album “Water in a whale” reached now the Top 20. At the moment the album track “Flood the ocean” (#19) is doing a little bit better than her single “Cameron” (#20). These songs also have the chance to reach the Top 10 which would bring her up to three Top 10 songs this year. Not bad for a girl who debuted this year.

This week there is no new entry within the Top 50 although there are 13 new entries. Norwegian star Tone Damli is leading the new entries with her latest single. “Winner of a losing game” (#63) is a beautiful ballad which shows a different side of her. This new entrie is followed by my favourite Swiss band. 77 Bombay Street placed two new songs in the Top 70. “Follow the rain” (#64) and “Wake me up” (#65) are surely on their way upwards the chart while I’m not sure about their third new song “Planet earth” (#84). Fabiënne Bergmanns who won the first season of Hollands The Voice Kids is back in my chart with the dance track “Hou me vast” (Hold me, #77). This song is from the “Soundtrack: Spjit” where she had a leading role.

Other new songs are “Gun” (#78) by Chrvches, “Obsession” (#79) by Tich, “Danse” (#90) by Tal feat. Flo Rida, “I always liked that” (#91) by Maria Mena, “Can’t hold back” (#92) by Anton Ewald, “Easy go” (#95) by Shary-An, “Forget you” (#96) by Cady Groves and “Wild child” (#98) by Elen Levon.
