Week 295 – October 22nd, 2016

For those who are following my chart there will be no surprise at the top of my personal favourites. It’s still all about Anouk. For a 5th week “If I knew” (#1) is topping my chart. And since weeks “Wanna little something” (#2) is breaking the record for sitting at #2. This week this song stays at #2 for an 8th week in a row. Without having “If I knew” - and of course Tove Lo feat. Wiz Khalifa and Miriam Bryant - at the Top “Wanna little something” could have spent an amazing 12 weeks at the Top – which would have been by the way a new record –, but so “Wanna little something” topped the chart for only four weeks. The podium is completed with “Not a lovesong”. You wanna know where Selena Gomez is in this week’s edition? The answer is simple. “Sober” (#4) is holding its spot and is now caught between the Anouk songs for a 4th week. The Top 5 is closed with “Be my baby” (#5) the last but not least Anouk song in this part of my chart.

“Aweseome” (#6) by Nicole Cross and “Black car” (#7) by Miriam Bryant also didn’t move in this edition. Now I can write something about the only new song in my Top 10 in this edition. It is by the well known artist Adele. “Love in the dark” (#8) climbed up three spots is giving her another Top 10 hit from “25”. While “Cool girl” (#9) by Tove Lo is another song which is stable this week “F*ck apologies” (#8) by JoJo feat. Wiz Khalifa is dropping two spots.

The highest new entry is by an American rock band from Florida. Their biggest hit had been “Second chance” which had been massive for me in the area when I had no personal chart. Since 2011 Shinedown only charted two times. Their first appearance had been with “Unity” and their second with “I’ll follow you”. But both songs had low peaks for me. With their latest single from “Threat to survival” they returned very strong. “How did you love?” (#27) is the kind of song I always liked to listen and if you are following my chart since 2011 you’ll know that there is a chance for them to reach my Top 10. The start is good and because of the fact that most of the songs in my Top 20 are a little bit older than usually they should do well with this song.
