Week 385 – July 14th, 2018

For several weeks now my chart is known for little less action. So is this week too. Only four songs got there debut including only one regular single down the chart. But lets start with first things first. I’ve a new #1. Technically it is no new #1 because Kate Voegele returns with “Not the only one” (#1) after one week of absence. Therefor Norma Jean Martine dropped one spot after one week at the top with “Angels on my shoulder” (#2). “Stop me from falling” (#3) by Kylie Minogue is still completing my Top 5. Also holding its spot is “When we were young” (#4) by Lost Kings feat. Norma Jean Martine. Sprinting up the chart is “I did something bad” (#5) by Taylor Swift. This week this song climbed up seven spots to reach its first week in my Top 10.

The next two songs are holding their spots. These are “Verdammt lang her” (#6, “Damn long ago”) by Andreas Gabalier and “I said hi” (#7) by Amy Shark. Next in line is “Don’t go breaking my heart” (#8) by 90’s boy band Backstreet Boys. I hope they will release more gems like this in the future. Dropping down four spots is “Zusammen” (#9, “Together”) by Die Fantastischen Vier feat. Clueso. It looks that this song will not be found in next week’s Top 10. And last but not least lets welcome “Bye bye” (#10) by Annalisa in my Top 10.

This week’s new entries are mostly by MisterWives. They are debuting with the last songs from “Connect the dots” I haven’t charted before. “Out of tune piano” is in at #78, “Let the light in” at #79 and “Band camp” at #80. The only regular single debut is “Take my love back” (#97) by Frank Pole feat. Dia Frampton.
