Week 524 – March 13th, 2021

Still singing at the top about loneliness is Austrian Tina Naderer. Her song "Allein" (#1, "Alone") with Gestört Aber GeiL is now sitting at the top for a third straight week. Up one spot is former #1 "Schwarz" (#2, "Black") by LEA. This is a very nice move for this song in its 14th week on chart. This move leads to the fact that "Willow" (#3) by Taylor Swift had to leave the runner's up spot. Still in the hunt for a Top 3 spot is Frawley. Unfortunately her song "Knocking on my heart" (#4) is stuck one spot behind. New in the Top 5 is "OK love you bye" (#5) by Olivia Dean. I really like this song and because of the fact that this one is the "youngest" in this part there is a real chance for reaching the #1. Maybe this one is the first non-German #1 since January the 2nd.

Dropping out of the Top 5 is former #1 "Über dich" (#6, "Over you") by Madeline Juno. This song is followed by one of the new songs in the Top 10. It is by rising star Olivia Rodrigo. Fun fact I never had an Olivia in my school classes, but now there are two in the Top 10. While I wasn't sure about "Drivers license" (#7) at first now this song is rising and rising and climbed up 5 spots to reach this Top 10 spot in edition 524. Each of the next two songs dropped one spot. The higher ranked one is "Beyond the pale" (#8) by Cold War Kids. The other one is former #1 "Du tust es immer wieder" (#9, "You keep doing it") by LEA. Rounding out this week's Top 10 is a new song by Avril Lavigne. She is featured on the MOD SUN song "Flames" (#10) which climbed up 5 spots.

The award for the greatest gainer of the week goes this week to two songs. "Easy" (#41) by Pale Waves just missed the Top 40 and "Nuda" (#52, "Naked") by Annalisa just landed outside the Top 50. Both songs climbed up 15 spots. Directly behind "Nuda" you can find the highest debut. It is a mother daughter duet. I'm really sure that you all know what comes next. "Cover me in sunshine" (#53) by Pink and her daughter Willow Sage Hart is debuting. With this debut Willow Sage Hart is the young artist ever found on this list. The 2nd best debut is by US singer Victoria Justice. In the early 2010's she had some minor hits along the Victorious cast. Nearly ten years later she is coming back with new material. I recently charted her song "Treat myself", but the follow up did way better. "Stay" is in at #54 and could bring her into the Top 20 or higher.
