Week 532 – May 8th, 2021

Last week Annalisa reached the top spot with her recent hit "Nuda" (#1, "Naked"). This week she defended the throne and so Olivia Rodrigo failed to get back to the top. Still in the Top 3 is also "Lass mich los" (#3, "Let me go") by Madeline Juno. As pointed out this one is a good song, but on the other hand there is no chance to see this song at the top. Up two spots and into the Top 5 is "John Hughes movie" (#4) by Maisie Peters. In one or two weeks this one should be her 1st Top 3 hit on my chart. Directly behind is Mandy Capristo's biggest hit up-to-date. "Genug" (#5, "Enough") climbed up two spots and earns her the first Top 5 hit since her solo chart debut in the early 2010's.

Dropping out of the Top 5 are two former #1's. The higher ranked one is "OK love you bye" (#6) by Olivia Dean in its 17th charting week. This one is followed by "Allein" (#7, "Alone") by Gestört Aber GeiL feat. Tina Naderer. I really love both former #1's but they are also on their way out of the Top 10 as former #1 "Schwarz" (#8, "Black") by LEA. This triple pack is followed by the only new song in this part of the chart. "Angels like you" (#9) by Miley Cyrus climbed up 6 spots. For my country #1 "Next girl" (#10) by Carly Pearce the signs show the leaving direction, but three weeks in the Top 10 isn't bad.

The greatest gainer of the week is as predicted "Drei Uhr Nachts" (#30, "3 o'clock am) by Mark Forster & LEA. If this song is rising as fast as this week it will join the Top 10 as soon as possible. For the highest debut you have to look for a song by Taylor Swift. As she has released some songs from her album "Fearless (Taylor's Version) it was only a matter of time when the first song out of these singles could be found on this list. In at #51 is "You all over me". For this single she teamed up with country star Maren Morris. I really like this one and maybe this song will do as good as some of her older stuff.

Other debuts are "Déjà vu" (#76) by Olivia Rodrigo, "Das ist das Leben" (#80, "This is the life") by Christina Stürmer, "Calm your nerves" (#81) and "Tricky devil" (#100) by Cold War Kids, "Love is love" (#85) by Sarah Lombardi – this songs samples Haddaway's classic "What is love" –, "SOS" (#86) by Verifiziert, "Break another heart" (#87) by Kaitlyn Kohler, "Back to you" (#91) by Nicky Romero, "Do you miss me" (#94) by Olivia Holt, "Wouldn't come back" (#95) by Trousdale, "Virigina" (#96) by Scythian feat. Catie Parker Fedoryka and "Got that boom" (#97) by SECRET NUMBER.
