Week 533 – May 15th, 2021

Italian singer Annalisa is topping the chart with "Nuda" (#1, "Naked") for a third week. It's another good year for her on my chart. This chart topping song is followed by 3 times leader "Drivers license" (#2) by Olivia Rodrigo. Her follow up single "Deja vu" (#72) isn't doing as well as her #1 smash. I hope that "Deja vu" is reaching the Top 50 over the weeks, but I'm not sure if this song will end in these regions. Up two spots and into the Top 3 is "Genug" (#3, "Enough") by Mandy Capristo. I really love this song, but if I compare it with other German songs I don't see #1 hit written all over it. On the other hand no one can tell how the future will be and so there is a chance for a reaching this spot for a single week mostly because the chart is growing old in the top regions while the charting songs in the lower part are relatively new. Holding its spot is "John Hughes movie" (#4) by Maisie Peters. And last but not least in the Top 5 is "Lass mich los" (#5, "Let me go") by Madeline Juno.

Still near the Top 5 is former #1 "OK love you bye" (#6) by Olivia Dean. Up two spots is "Angels like you" (#7) by Miley Cyrus. By the way I've always to smile when my favourite radio station is pointing out that "Midnight sky" is her actual single and forget about "Angels like you" and of course "Without you". Next in line is the only debut in the Top 10. Austrian dialect band Schwarzweiß did the last step with "I wü Di" (#8, "I want you"). I really love this one and because of the fact that this one is the youngest song in the Top 10 with five charting weeks there is a good chance to see this song shining bright from the top. The next two songs dropped two spots. The higher ranked one is "Allein" (#9, "Alone") by Gestört Aber GeiL feat. Tina Naderer. The other is "Schwarz" (#10, "Black") by LEA.

The greatest gainer of the week is "The hardest part" (#48) by Olivia Dean after climbing up 15 spots. It is a good sprint, but I doubt that this one will also top the chart as "OK love you bye". For the highest debut you definitely have to dig deep. It is "How does it feel" (#71) by London Grammer who had been absent for years. Other debuts are "Something to believe in" (#76) by Laura Marano, "Mirrorball" (#79) and "My tears ricochet" (#80) by Taylor Swift, "Ooh la la!"
