 Week 545 – August 8^th, 2021

This week had been very slow, because I hadn't a lot of time to listen to music or new music. This isn't a bad sign for Alanis Morissette. She climbed up all the way to the top with her song "Sandbox love" (#3). Still in the hunt is German singer Madeline Juno with her song "Tu was du willst" (#2). Her latest single "Sommer, Sonne, Depression" ("Summer, sun, depression") is ready for debut in the next edition. Down two spots is last week's #1 "Mr. perfectly fine" (#3) by Taylor Swift. The next two songs in a row are non-moving. First to mention is former #1 "Good 4 U" (#4) by Olivia Rodrigo. The other one is "Electric" (#5) by Katy Perry.

Not far behind the Top 5 is "Schwarz" (#6) by LEA & Casper. I really love this version of the song and maybe this one is reaching the #1. It would be the first time that the original song and the remix would do so (even in the same year!). Directly behind you can find former #1 "Drei Uhr Nachts" (#7, "Three o'clock a.m.") by Mark Forster & LEA. Next in line is "Bad habits" (#8) by Ed Sheeran. I like this song and I hope that this one will enter the Top 5 soon. Then there is "Psycho" (#9) by Maisie Peters. This is definitely a good song but I'm not sure if this song will reach the Top 5. On the other hand "Psycho" should stay in the Top 10 for a couple more weeks. "Dieci" (#10, "Ten") by Annalisa is rounding out this week's Top 10.

I've mentioned it before that I hadn't a lot of time to listen to music this week so the greatest gainer of the week goes to "Succede che" (#20, "It happens that") by Emma and "Little did I know" (#21) by Julia Michaels. Both songs are a little bit older than the songs I usually award with the greatest gainer. The highest debut is by Italian singer Federico Rossi. His song "Non è mai troppo tardi" (#60, "It's never too late") is a decent one and hopefully it will reach the Top 20.
