As
always when school is starting I've not as much time as I want to
listen to music or to discover music. For this year it isn't different
and so only album cuts form one particular album got their debut. But
let's start with the Top 10 as usual. For the first time German DJ Ninja POW! and German singer Franzi Harmsen
reached #1. Their cover of the 1990's classic "Du trägst keine Liebe in
dir" (#1, "You carry no love in you") did this last step while I still
have to point out that I'm not a big fan of the original version by Echt. While this German song reached #1 the other one "Schwarz" (#2, "Black") by LEA & Casper
dropped one spot. The podium is complete with one more song in German.
"Tu was du willst" (#3, "Do what you want") is holing is spot. Also
non-moving is former #1 "Sandbox love" (#4) by Alanis Morissette. New in the Top 5 is another song in German. This time by German star Sarah Connor. Her song "Alles in mir will zu Dir" (#5, "Everything in me wants to you") climbed up two spots.
Still in the hunt for a Top 5 spot is "Psycho" (#6) by Maisie Peters. Unfortunately I don't see this happen anymore. "Bad habits" (#7) by Ed Sheeran dropped out of the Top 5. The 2nd non-moving song in this part of the chart is "Movimento lento" (#8, "Slow movement") by Annalisa feat. Federico Rossi. These songs are followed by two new songs in the Top 10. The higher ranked one is "Renegade" (#9) by Big Red Machine feat. Taylor Swift. The other one is "Should've known better" (#10) by Carly Pearce.
The greatest gainer of the week is country pop by Jason Aldean & Carrie Underwood.
Their song "If I didn't love you" (#59) climbed up eight spots. So you
see there is little movement on my chart this week. This brings me to
this week's debuts. They are all from Taylor Swift's album
"Lover". With the debuts of "Daylight" (#81), "Afterglow" (#82) and
"It's nice to have a friend" (#83) there are no more songs left to debut
from this album.
