Week 551– September 18th, 2021

Franzi Harmsen is on her way to dominate my chart. Last week she reached #1 with the cover version of "Du trägst keine Liebe in dir" (#1, "You carry no love in you"). It has also been the first #1 by German DJ Ninja POW!. Two more singles by her reached the Top 20 in this week's edition. "Du trägst keine Liebe in dir" is followed by "Schwarz" (#2, "Black") by LEA & Casper. Still in the Top 3 is also former #1 "Tu was du willst" (#3, "Do what you want") by Madeline Juno. The only song in English in my Top 5 at the moment is still "Sandbox love" (#4) by Alanis Morissette which is also the only non-single in this part of the chart. Next in line is "Alles in mir will zu Dir" (#5, "Everything in me wants to you") by Sarah Connor. All the songs didn't move this week.

The first moving song within the Top 10 is "Renegade" (#6) by Big Red Machine feat. Taylor Swift. This song climbed up three spots. Dropping down one spot is "Psycho" (#7) by Maisie Peters. The next non-moving song within a slow spaced Top 10 is "Movimento lento" (#8, "Slow movement"). Up one spot is country "Should've known better" (#9) by Carly Pearce. New in this part is another country song. It is "Wilder days" (#10) by Morgan Wade. For her it is the 1st Top 10 hit after "Don't cry" just missed it earlier this year.

The greatest gainer of the week is "Take my breath" (#60) by The Weeknd. It took this song five weeks before sprinting up the chart. This week this song climbed up 16 spots. The highest debut is by German project Purple Disco Machine. The new song "Dopamine" (#66) with British singer Eyelar is doing well and should enter the Top 50 within the next weeks.

Other debuts are "Growing pains" (#77) by Nathan Trent, "August" (#82), "Seven" (#83) and "This is me trying" (#84) by Taylor Swift, "Starstruck" (#89) by OSKA and "Don't speak" (#91) by Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox feat. Haley Reinhart.
