Week 575 – March5th, 2022

Due the lack of time there hasn’t been a review for Week 574. This week I’m back with a summary of Week 575. At the top there is still no change. Kelsea Ballerini and LANY are topping the chart with “I quit drinking” for a 3rd week in a row. New in the runner’s up spot is “In the dark” (#2). For German project Purple Disco Machine and for British singer Sophie and the Giants this is their first Top 3 hit. Maybe this song will do the one last step in the next edition of my chart. Down one spot is “When you’re drunk” (#3) by LANY. Climbing up one spot and absolutely in reach for #1 is “On my way” (#4) by Natalie Imbruglia. I’m very glad that “Firebird” is doing well for me. On its way out of the Top 5 is Austrian band Pizzera & Jaus with “Der seidene Faden” (#5, “The silk thread”).

Former #1 “I bet you think about me” (#6) by Taylor Swift feat. Chris Stapleton dropped two spots and left the Top 5. This one is followed by the 2nd Top 10 hit by Natalie Imbruglia. Her song “Maybe it’s great” (#7) climbed up two spots. Canadian singer Tate McRae can be found for the first time in the Top 10. Her song “She’s all I wanna be” (#8) climbed up 16 spots and is awarded for the greatest gainer of the week for a 2nd time in a row. Next in line is “Other side” (#9) by Morgan Wade which dropped two spots. This week’s Top 10 is rounded out with a 2nd new song in this part of the chart. For LØLØ and Maggie Lindemann “Debbie downer” (#10) is their first Top 10 hit after climbing up four spots.

Last week saw a massive number of debuts. This week is rather calm in comparison. The highest debut can be found just within the Top 70 which is “House on fire” (#70) by Mimi Webb. In the UK this one is her 2nd Top 10 hit and maybe she will do well on my chart. As always this is hard to predict. Other debuts are “West coast” (#77) by OneRepublic, “Let somebody go” (#78) by Coldplay & Selena Gomez, “Solange wir fahren” (#81, “As long as we drive”) by Alex Lys & Madeline Juno, “Doppelgänger” (#88) by Joshua Bassett, “Rockstars” (#94) by Malik Harris, “Wie viele Lieder muss ich noch schreiben?” (#95, “How many songs do I still have to write?”) by SDP & Montez and “Not giving you up” (#96) by Big Time Rush.
