Week 584 – May 7th, 2022

After five weeks at the Top Tate McRae had to leave with “She’s all I wanna be” (#3). New at the top is Nina Nesbitt. Over the last week this song was growing heavily and so it is at least for me no surprise that “When you lose someone” (#1) is my new #1. New at the runner’s up spot is “Funke, Flächenbrand” (#2, “Spark, wildfire”). Former #2 “Easy on me” (#4) by Rain Paris dropped two spots. New in the Top 5 is the contender “Something better” (#5) by Anouk.

“Something better” replaced “Roses” (#6) by Alyssa Reid in this week’s Top 5. Next in line and holding its spot is “In the dark” (#7) by Purple Disco Machine feat. Sophie and The Giants. “You’re so fucking pretty” (#8) is a very reduced song by The Regrettes and climbed up one spot. New in the Top 10 is “Nie begegnet” (#9, “Never met”) by Esther Graf & Monet192. While Esther Graf returned to the Top 10 Swiss rapper Monet192 reached this part for the first time. As last week “Clap you hands” (#10) by Kungs is rounding out this week’s Top 10.

The greatest gainer of the week is “Von dir ein Tattoo” (#22, “A tattoo of you”) by Austrian Josh.. This one has everything to earn him his 1st Top 10 smash after climbing up 21 spots. For the highest debut you must dig a little deeper. It is “Junkie” (#57) by LØLØ. After the last weeks she reached the chart with some of her older singles, because I just discovered her. Now she returns with her recent one which should do well. Directly behind Austrian Tina Naderer returned with her new one “Alles so leicht” (#58, “Everything so easy”). Although I like this one I don’t see another potential Top 10 hit in this song. “Junkie” is the 1st of three debuts in a row. The 3rd one is “HEARTFIRST” (#59) by Kelsea Ballerini who recently topped the chart with “I quit drinking” (#16)
