Week 585 – May 14th, 2022

If you’re waiting for a bigger change on my chart I’ve to disappoint you. One reason is that I had a lot of other stuff going on this week and second only a handful of new songs met my expectations. To put it in a nutshell there isn’t a lot of movement, and the highest debut can only be found outside the Top 80. So let’s start with the top songs of the chart. Still in front is “When you lose someone” (#1) by Nina Nesbitt. In general, the whole Top 3 is non-moving. So “Funke, Flächenbrand” (#2, “Spark, wildfire”) by Mathea failed once more to reach #1 and “She’s all I wanna be” (#3) by Tate McRae is completing the podium. Climbing up one spot is “Something better” (#4) by Anouk. This song swapped spots with “Easy on me” (#5) by Rain Paris.

Former #1 “In the dark” (#6) by Purple Disco Machine feat. Sophie and the Giants did an unexpected climb by one spot. Unfortunately, I think that this is the last hurray by them. For “Roses” (#7) by Alyssa Reid is going down one spot. These songs are followed by Austrian and Swiss collaboration between Esther Graf and Monet192. Their song “Nie begegnet” (#8, “Never met”) climbed up one spot. Directly behind you can find the only new song in the Top 10. It is “Run” (#9) by Morgan Wade. “You’re so fucking pretty” (#10) by The Regrettes is rounding out this week’s Top 10.

The award for the greatest gainer of the week is going to “En el coche” (#41, “In the car”) by Aitana and “Anything 4 U” (#42) by LANY after climbing up 13 spots. This week’s debuts are “LxxK 2 U” (#84) by Yeny, “Mond” (#85, “Moon”) by Clueso feat. Elif, “Erkläre mir die Liebe” (#87, “Explain love to me”) by JuJu X Chapo102 x Philipp Poisel, “Ganz oder gar nicht” (#88, “All or nothing”) by Lika Doss, “Mad woman” (#89) and “Epiphany” (#90) by Taylor swift and “Flower” (#97) by Park Bom & Kim Min-seok.
