Week 592 – July 2nd, 2022

 Austrian singer Josh. is defending his #1 position with “Von dir ein Tattoo” (“A tattoo of you”). Absolutely in reach is Spanish singer Aitana with two songs. Her solo single “En el coche” (#2, “In the car”) climbed up three spots and is now in the runner’s up position. You can also find “Mariposas” (#3, “Butterflies”) in the Top 3. This is a song with Italian singer Sangiovanni which climbed up four spots. For Aitana and Sangiovanni it would be the first #1 on my chart. Holding its spot is “Funke, Flächenbrand” (#4, “Spark, wildfire”). Running out of luck is former #1 “Run” (#5) by Morgan Wade which dropped three spots.

In its 10th charting week “Swimmingpool” (#6, “Swimming pool”) by LEA is near the top tracks, but I don’t believe that this song will enter the Top 5. One spot behind you can find Morgan Wade’s 2nd Top 10 hit “Last cigarette” (#7) which reached the Top 10 for the first time. Next in line is “Fluss” (#8, “River”) by LEA. This song dropped out of the Top 3 rapidly. The 2nd new song in the Top 10 is “Lies” (#9) by Pale Waves. For them it is their 1st Top 10 smash after climbing up eight spots. For my favourite artist Anouk there is only one spot left. “Something better” (#6) dropped four spots.

The greatest gainer of the week is once again “Message in a bottle” (#17) by Taylor Swift. This song climbed up 21 spots, three spots less than last week. The highest debut is “This hell” (#51) by Rina Sawayama. For her this is the 2nd chart appearance. For the first time she debuted on Charli XCX’s track “Beg for you” (peaked at #95 in February). “This hell” easily outperformed this song and I see this song rising high in the future.
