Week 623 – February 4th, 2023

The top 2 is the same as last week. JuJu is topping the chart with “Nie wieder sehen” (#1, “Never see again”) for now seven weeks. For now three weeks is “I’m a mess” (#2) by Avril Lavigne & YUNGBLUD at the runner’s up spot. New in the Top 3 is “The night” (#3) by Morgan Wade. Is there a chance for topping the chart? I don’t know if this re-released single is able to do the last step, but it isn’t impossible. Also holding its spot in the Top 5 is “Get over you” (#4) by Dylan Conrique. Up three spots and for the first time in the Top 5 is “Surrender my heart” by Carly Rae Jepsen.

Directly behind and for the first time in the Top 10 another song by Pale Waves can be found. It is “Unwanted” (#6) which reached this part of the chart after a seven-spot climb. Dropping four spots is “Danke” (#7, “Thank you”) by 1986zig. I love this one, but unfortunately it failed to reach #1. Also dropping out of the Top 5 is “In Flammen” (#8, “In flames”) by LEA. Another song dropping is “Anit-Hero” (#9) by Taylor Swift. Maybe this song will drop out of the Top 10 by next week, but normally “Anti-Hero” should get at least one more week.

This week the award for the greatest gainer of the week goes to two songs. The higher ranked one is “Monsters” (#33) by Camylio. The other one is “All the way” (#37) by PRIZM. These songs climbed up 15 spots. The highest debut is by German band Silbermond. Their song “Wenn’s am schönsten ist” (#49, “When it’s most beautiful”) just debuted inside the Top 50, but here I see very bright future. Normally you can find the climbing up the chart next week. Directly behind you can find a debut by Morgan Wade. This time with the album cut “Carry me home” (#50) from the deluxe version of her album “Reckless” which has been my most played album in 2022.

Other debuts are “Save me” (#60) by Sorn, “Trustfall” (#61) by Pink, “Immer jemand wach” (#62, “Always someone awake”) by ela., “In meinem Kopf” (#63, “In my head”) by FACE feat. Helena FIN – this song has been released as a single back in 2021, but I just discovered Helena FIN, so you can expect more entries by her in the following weeks – “You only love me” (#68) by Rita Ora, “After midnight” (#86) by Lucas & Steve, Yves V feat. Xoro, “One of us” (#87) by Ava Max, “Wanna know” (#88) by IRRIS, “Blindfolded” (#90) by Against The Current, “When the dirt all settles” (#91) by Morgan Wade, “Top secret” (#93) by Weeekly – this song is form their 2020 EP “We can” and has been re-released as a single in the mid of 2022 and now it entered my chart –, “Leave you alone” (#96) by Kane Brown and “Hold on” (#97) by Mason Lively.
